Not a chance. Been DVC and annual pass for 20 years sick of losing perks and being nickel and dimed. Prices keep going up and services and experiences go down.

Hasn’t it been amazing watching a once great company run right into the ground.

      1. Sharon Fabrizio

No. It costs enough already for annual passes. Why not go back to way it was prepandemic.

Yes, if it means I can cut in line and only have to wait a bit. If Disney is smart, they should have a tier system. One for the rich ($1000), one for the middle ($500), and one for the poor ($100). Plus the free line (homeless) where wait times can be up to 12 hours.

I don’t see why disney has to cash in on getting rid of fast passes, when it worked before the panademic, disney makes money on park entry, merchandise, & food, it will stop people that can’t afford to pay out for each ride specially if have families, if its not broken don’t fix, & fastpasses worked, people won’t go if disney start to make disney too expensive for people to go, it’s starting to be for the rich & not for working class families, disney is getting greedy out of a global crisis , sadly it won’t be the most magical place on earth if disney gets greddy by taking away deals like fast passes & disney dining
Families won’t be able to afford if disney starts charging for each ride in parks, specially when they charge to get into the park, I live in UK & we were planning on rebooking to go in 2024 after out 2020 & 2021 holiday was cancelled to florida, but if disney do this we will go elsewhere as disney won’t be affordable & spending over 10k for just a family of 3 would be unaffordable

A daily pass of like 200$ will suck for local AP holders that just want to pop in for the evening and ride one or two things, have dinner and head home. I’d literally never be able to ride a top tier ride again.

WDW already has paid FP. You can purchase a ticket that includes several FPs to specific attractions and there are several options. I imagine they will just offer an additional FP good for some number of attractions. I’m all for it, though I would never buy it, because it will shorten standby times significantly and the lines will move faster. This is , for example, assuming maybe half or fewer people are willing to pay compared to the number of free FP in use.

    They would work great!

To drive away business and price the Kool-Aid drinking “Disney fans” out of being able to go into the parks

Why compare to Universal? We travel from Europe for two weeks and only go to WDW as Universal is much more expensive per day. If WDW is priced closer to Universal we won’t travel to Orlando at all. I’ve already booked 10 days at WDW for 2022 at US prices but would really like the previous 3 FP back. It gives some certainty. I’ve done DLP in August and got on 3 rides each of the 4 days as all the passes went and that was not a great experience so not been back sadly.

We are Florida residents. We already pay enough for Florida resident annual passes. Why should we have to pay more for rides? The fast pass system works very well. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

    1. KTS

Totally agree, the fast passes work, disney will lose custom from Europe if they add extra to pay for rides, what a stupid idea, disney getting greedy & using the panademic to cash in

  8. Denise

There is absolutely no way I would pay extra! Disney’s prices are already way out of hand and too expensive for the average person. Even Florida residents that used to go frequently for the day can’t even get ‘park reservations’

  9. Mike

Disney is creating an economic caste system that operates among their guests.

  10. Dan

for me i realied on Disneyworld and i visted every year because of the faster lines and no extra cost i refused to go to universal studios and looking at the expense of fast pas i will stop going i always stayed in Disney properties for that reason

  11. Disney are supposed to be where the magic happens ,,there is no magic in being ripped off,, Disney are becoming a blue chip company ,,so it’s just magic for the rich,,well done MICKEY you cooperate symbol ,,,,,DVC member Wales UK

Like other major corporations, Disney lost billions during the pandemic, and we still may not be out of the woods so the future remains uncertain. Disney is a business and they have to turn a profit. Under normal circumstances, they have been able to provide things like FP+ without charging a premium (beyond ever-increasing-faster-than-inflation prices for tickets, accommodations, food, etc.). If they go to a pay model for FP+ or a similar system, I couldn’t blame them for recouping their losses. They’re in the middle of major construction and overhaul projects that still need to be funded and completed. People will pay for FP. Those who don’t will still come and wait in standby lines. If you’ve ever done Universal both with AND without Express Pass, you know it’s a world of difference, esp for Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. That’s one reason we usually stay at a deluxe Universal resort to get the included Unlimited Express. I could see Disney going to a similar model with their deluxe resorts, or at least including *some* FPs as a perk of staying at a higher-cost resort.

Some may still come no matter what additional charges are imposed as they’ve already pre-bought non-refundable park tickets when booking a year or two in advance from Europe. What some might not do is rebook if they find the experience worse as they can’t afford to pay extra for rides especially over a longer trip. So a change like this may not immediately impact longer-haul visitors that didn’t know when they booked but can’t change their minds later but it will deter repeat visits if it becomes very expensive or a poor experience over a long holiday. It’s good to know these things in advance as you make your choices, but this will be a big difference from the previous WDW offer if it happens and people have booked without knowing about it. If I lived closer and wanted the most out of a short trip it might be more attractive. But I’d still prefer 3 FP.

FastPass+ was one of the few justifications for WDW tickets costing 50% more than any other parks. How is that getting lost?

Being Florida resident annual passholder the original reason for purchase was the perks . There are no perks at this time .So if Disney continues to price themselves out and nickel and dime everyone most of there guest will b one time only . As much as my family likes Disney we can go to many different places for how much money we spend at Disney each year .I hope they don’t move forward with charging for fast pass.

  15. Deborah

Universal also offers a complimentary unlimited express pass to any guest who stays at one of their top tier hotels, Portofino Bay, Royal Pacific or Hard Rock.
I would be willing to shell out for a deluxe resort if it came with united fast passes.

  16. William

Horrible idea, creates a second class visitor from anyone unwilling or unable to pay triple the gate fee, one reason I dislike Universal watching their rich kids passing me for the 3rd time whilst in line for Rock n Rollercoaster. I would support dynamic daily ticket pricing but the greed of just filling the parks prevail. Maybe we should go back to the pre fast pass days and we all queue.

  17. Megan Reed

No, I would not pay. I love WDW and only get to visit every 5 years or so but I already dish out so much money.

  18. Justin

Disney fans: “This company used to be great, now it sucks! No way I’m paying them another dime!”

Also Disney fans: “annual passes are back? OooooOOOOoooo!!! Here’s $2000!!! Weeeeee!!!”

  19. Liz

I’d love max pass in WDW and would pay gladly by the day or make it a perk of staying at a deluxe resort. The critical thing is that they have to end the insanity associated with booking fast passes months in advance. Day-of only fast passes that you can’t book until you are inside the park on a given day. Please turn on some kind of fast pass ASAP. I am dreading the prospect of our New Years trip without them.

  20. Joyce

Honestly, if they do this I MAY just cancel my February trip.
It already costs so much to go to Disney and now they are saying basically that you need to be rich, or single with no kids, in order to enjoy yourself at Disney.
It’s really disheartening to families that have to save to go to Disney to hear now they have to wait in huge lines while others get to cut the line because they have money.

    1. Ashley Salazar

With the way things are panning out, I won’t even be able to afford it as a single person with no kids.

  21. Ashley Salazar

Disney keeps driving up prices and taking away the perks. They will continue to do so if people are willing to pay more for less. I will not be purchasing another annual pass if it is anything like the new California Key Holder program. You only get free parking if you purchase the most expensive pass. That’s absolutely ridiculous. So, we are paying more money for less days, and will also have to shell out parking money for every park we go to as an AP member? No thanks.
