Should have been around when the books first came out, and readers accused JK of copying Diana Wynne-Jones’ “Chrestomanci” series.
(The ones who hadn’t read DWJ only got as far as the Dursleys’ scenes before claiming she was copying Roald Dahl, but it’s national law that ALL British fantasy authors have to homage Roald Dahl, on pain of imprisonment.)
