I’m not planning to purchase this Magic Key pass, but, if they include the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Royal Hall on to it, someone I know will purchase that pass for her twin daughters to get princess makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and have meet and greets with Ariel, Snow White and Cinderella in the Royal Hall.

So when is Disney World, Orlando going to start selling new annual passes?

Well I was there all morning. Wait times posted were NOT accurate. Peter Pan said 5 minutes the entire 25 minutes we were in line. And it was like that all day. So don’t trust what the app was telling you

An Annual pass is something Disney really doesn’t like because it is a discount program and increases park attendance without increasing revenue. This is why they literally killed it in Dinsneyland. Their new key program is not like the previous program. When I recently went there I had a little sticker shock at $139.00 per person on a Monday no less.

Furthermore, I witnessed how they charged full price for food for tiny portions. The children’s meal with a hamburger was basically the size of a silver dollar.

Annual pass holders which are locals kept the parks operating during the pandemic, since foreign guests could not fly there.

My personal take is that there were those who were loyal and extended their pass. This is opposed to those who just cashed out. Those guests should continue to receive their legacy status. New pass holders should be treated as such without a purchase discount. They definitely should be treated as a new pass holder and not a renewal.

Disney Parks have changed since the new management has been put in place with the primary focus on increasing park prices, manipulating wait times, cancelling park entertainment and shows , and significantly reducing staff. All with a focus on increasing revenue and reducing expenses. The only way things will change is for people to just not go to the Disney Parks. Revenue generating is the only current Disney focus. Guest service is gone.

Well I could not stay away. I had bought at first a 5 day ticket. My First day back was park hopper at DCA and then to Disneyland on the day they reopened. Then I got the 3 day SoCal. I used a low tier tick one day also. On the 25th I bought the new Dream Key. I also went later in the day. I had a late Lunch at Jolly Holiday. Later I really enjoyed Fireworks with Minnie’s Mix Magic on Main Street. I am really glad to be able to have parking included and just go for a meal or snack and, one or two rides. My favorite time to go in weekdays at night…. I am hoping crowds stay manageable. I hope having a reservation system will do that.
