Went with my family this June for the first time in a long time. We went to Animal Kingdom and my sister was stuck on Everest for 45 ish minutes and had to be evacuated. They offered her a pass to skip the line on any one ride in the park except Pandora, the only problem was every other ride except Pandora was ALSO shut down and Pandora had a 4 hour wait time because of it. We waited about 30-40 minutes but still nothing else opened back up and it was too early in the morning to even just stop for a snack somewhere (none of the quick service was even open yet) so we just left. It was a huge disappointment.

What will happen with the people paying extra for a ride through the new Genie and the ride breaks down? Will there be a refund? Regular guests just tough it out.

My family visited WDW the first week of July 2021, which was my 15th trip to the resort/parks. I’ve never encountered as many attractions closed as this year. It was frustrating and disappointing how often rides were closed -many for most of the day and no fast passes were given. They need to figure out how to make it magical again-because with the amount of $$ spent, it did not live up to expectations.

It’s a closed world after all,
it’s a closed world after all,
it’s a closed world after all,
    it’s a closed, closed world.

I wonder if the maintenance department is suffering from staff shortages or cost cut backs?
Probably lost a lot of experienced workers.

I think there’s something to it . Staff loss, COVID, shut down, cost.
    Probably like everywhere else.

  7. The article also failed to mention that closures can also be due to the guests. Protein Spills as CMs say
