As Walt Disney World prepares for its 50th-anniversary celebration this October, many upgrades and refurbishments are currently happening around the entire Resort, including a massive revamp of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The Contemporary has been seen under scaffolding and tarps for some time now while working on reimagining the rooms to be themed after The Incredibles. Along with these changes are some temporary closures inside this beloved Resort including The Wave…of American Flavors Restaurant and Lounge.
The good news is Guests will still be able to enjoy the fresh American breakfast that The Wave offers, at one of Disney World’s most popular restaurants, California Grill.
According to the official Disney World website:
Starting July 16, The Wave… of American Flavors will be closed, as we refurbish this space in time for the 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort. Dining is still available here through July 15. And, for a limited time during this closure, you’ll be able to enjoy the breakfast menu served at California Grill.
Located on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, California Grill will offer The Wave’s official breakfast menu including Floridian Eggs Benedict, Avocado Toast, Wave Signature Sweet Potato Pancakes, and more.
Many Disney fans agree that the most wonderful experience while dining inside California Grill is the view and outdoor promenade, which Guests could only enjoy during dinner! Now Guests can enjoy the spectacular views of Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon during the day for a limited time!
To book a reservation for breakfast, Guests can still check availability through Disney’s official website, under The Wave reservation system. Our guess is that these reservations will go quick, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity and book your breakfast soon!
