Dang you’re a special kind of stupid, no one looks like these characters they’re animated. Maybe you should work on your sad little life and stop commenting, your opinion means nothing.
I think she’s being sarcastic, don’t be so triggered. When you say “no one looks like these characters they’re animated” you’re just verifying what she said! I would also say your opinion means nothing (and mine too, but I’m still gonna give it, just like you did!)
Career wise, probably not the best move. Several actors have portrayed characters that weren’t the same race as their own and have been cancelled and/or received lots of bad publicity and backlash. (See Hank Azaria-Simpsons, Mike Henry-Cleveland Show and Family Guy, Jimmy Fallon) Episodes have actually been taken out of rotation that feature an actor playing a character of another race (30 Rock, Golden Girls, Scrubs, The Office, Community, and others). At least one show was completely cancelled because of this very thing. It was Megyn Kelly’s show on NBC. We live in strange times!
i dont think she has anything to worry about. you point out one of many double standards in hollywood, in all your examples its white people playing black people and that is somehow considered racist. when any other race does it, its completely ok
Uhm no….I love Rapunzel just because of her long blond hair. And I admire her appearances and also her attitude since I also feel locked up sometimes. So yeah, not only asians has that locked up feeling. All people with strict parents has that.
Just keep Rapunzel’s hair “golden” and I don’t care what you cast. There’s so much significance to the hair. Thing is, gold or blonde hair looks dumb af on some people. Just gotta be careful of that.
I’m Asian as well and love Rapunzel and Tangled, but I think Rapunzel should still be played by someone who is White. It’d be like having someone who is not Asian play Mulan or Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon. Rapunzel is relatable, but her character is German.

I guess you’ve never seen the live action Scooby-Doo movies! They look EXACTLY like the cartoon characters and they’re classics!
Ha
Why would you cast an actress that looks nothing like the character???

I’m just asking a question. What’s the answer, Eric?
