It’s an absolute no from me! I grew up on Marvel Comics. Stan Lee was like a father to me through his work. Teaching things like good prevails and one person can make a difference. Disney, whose the parent company of Marvel, had no problems posthumously digitally recreating Governor Tarkin in Star Wars Rogue One using the likeness of actor Peter Cushing on a stand in actor, saying ” it was nothing the actor would have objected to.” In that spirit, I believe Stan Lee would have been alright with any additional but respectful cameos. Digitally recreating Chadwick Boseman for Black Panther is a different story, and I concur with leaving his acting legacy to what he has committed to on film while he was alive

They can’t have him in their theme parks and they can’t mention him without licensing him out from Genius Brands International.

It seems they did not want to pay Stan Lee’s estate just like they didn’t pay Scarlett Johansen by streaming and not advertising the box office, which is where she is paid from.
To me, using his likeness or voice in some way would be a very nice way to show respect to the man who’s creation they are going to continue to make money from. Perhaps to hear his voice on the radio or tv – see his face in a newspaper – commercials during the movie – phrases he is known for saying…. (something) is a way to pay tribute to this man. Much in the way that many tv shows and movies still find a way to include the class number for drama in their films. Simply a way to say “Gone but, not forgotten”. Nuff Said.😏
I agree with those that say his picture should be an Easter egg somewhere. Makes sense not to do a cameo but I like looking for the tribute and it it feels good to reference roots. Maybe they could hide more tribute like Boseman’s pic in Black Panther 2 etc
