Jabbas sail barge was featured way less on screen than the Razorcrest…it to was blown to bits so I’m not sure how the Razorcrest was a debacle. Also the Rancors name is not Malakili.
The Razor Crest had plenty of screen time and is an iconic design. I dont buy into the fake angst about its demise … As other commentor said, Jabba’s sail barge got way less screen time before being destroyed.
I agree that the backlash over the Razor Crest is ridiculous. Jabba’s Sail Barge AND the Rancor had less screen time combined. Also, as previously stated the rancor’s name is not Malakili. That is the name of the rancor’s keeper.
I have zero sympathy for people who pay money for the chance to maybe purchase an item from a company that doesn’t care about their customers in the slightest. Most of the exclusives for Haslab members are sold out within minutes, leaving many of their paying members high and dry, since they don’t even try to make enough product to meet demand. Projects like the Razorcrest call for Haslab members to essentially contribute to a kickstarter for a multi-million dollar company. It’s absurd. Toys like the Razorcrest would cost less if Hasbro would simply make them available to Star Wars fans all over the world, but instead they make it a Haslab exclusive, which is only for club members in the USA, thus limiting the number of units they can sell. If Hasbro can’t be bothered to sell it in a store where I live, I can’t be bothered to buy it!
I don’t think you actually have any clue what a haslab is, cause if you did you’d know how incorrect and completely stupid your comment is. Basically every single word is untrue
Agreed, a lot of wrong information in that post makes it seem like they are just trying to bash Hasbro any way possible. Yes, the Pulse website sometimes sells out of exclusives quickly, but not all. And many that DO sell out are still available online via other means. Haslab projects are an independent crowdfunding method that you can participate in whether or not you are e member of Hasbro Pulse. They usually fund very quickly and have PLENTY of time to join in once you know it’s guaranteed or not.
That’s not how Haslab works there dummy. You have a full month plus to join in. If It doesn’t go into production, then there is no charge. You’re an imbecile and shouldn’t be allowed near technology.
I think the difference is not necessarily the screen time, but the knowing. People know how long Jabba’s sail barge is shown before it blows up. People didn’t expect the razorcrest to be blown up so quick. The people who bought hoping to flip it expect it to be worth more the longer it stays in the show. As it has been pointed out the razorcrest has had more screentime more than some other iconic ships. People just need to accept what they buy and not complain about their buyers remorse
As previously stated, Malakili is the Rancor’s keeper. Pateesa is the name of Jabba’s Rancor.
As for the Razor Crest, I don’t know why its fate on the show has anything to do with wanting that haslab. Disney destroyed Luke Skywalker but people still want replicas of his lightsaber, landspeeder, Xwing, etc. I fail to see a difference.
There was no ‘fiasco’. What actually happened was a lot of trolls went HURRR YOU PAID FOR A SHIP THAT GOT BLOWN UP. The fact the ship was destroyed means absolutely nothing, Star Wars ships are blown up all the time. The Razor Crest backers like the ship and wanted it made as a toy, that’s why they backed. A small number may have cancelled their orders but they are likely people who were having second thoughts anyway – these projects ALWAYS have drop-outs. A lot of those people will likely regret their decisions once the ship has been and gone and only available on the secondary market for way more that what it cost originally.
I happily backed the project and am looking forward to receiving my Razor Crest!
I don’t think you understand how haslab works.
Things can’t “sell out in minutes”
And it’s not exclusive membership.
They propose a thing, there is a set time frame (a month or so)
For as many people as possible to sign up for it, and they make that many.
Not minutes, WEEKS.
If 5,000 people sign up, they make 5,000.
If 1,000,000 sign up, they make 1,000,000.
Honestly, it makes more sense than exclusives from say, target, for example.
THOSE sell out in minutes.
First, just make the Razor Crest. Who cares if it was destroyed in a TV show, look at all the Action figures of “dead” Rebel s they made. Fans still collected them. This article mentioned that the 2 bestsellers Hasbro has are the Black series and Vintage series, so, idea when they make a Black series just go ahead and make a Vintage version ALSO.
Plus ,if u go to Change.com and search for #save375 this will , hopefully. do just that.
Its like when your current fav footballer is traded right after you paid a high price for their jersey vs. buying a jersey of a past footballing legend. So yes people do have a claim to be cross despite all the apple to orange comparisons.
If those same man-babies who cried about the Razorcrest being destroyed after they backed the haslab, are also backing the rancor, I have some bad news for them about that…

ANYBODY consider that MAYBE the Mandalorian will get a new Razor Crest? Ugh.

The rancor is named Pateesa. Malakili is the name of the rancor’s keeper.

Spoiler alert: the rancor also doesn’t make it to the next movie.

I pre-ordered the Rancor while I was watching Return of the Jedi. After I ordered it, it was killed in the movie! I demand a refund!
