What I’m hoping for with no announcement, Disney is seeing how popular Splash Mountain is with the #SaveSplashMountain petition and long line waits that they will cancel this stupid re-theme. Build Princess Tiana somewhere else. There’s nothing wrong with the ride and Disney knows it. Quit pandering to the minority twitter crazies and listen to the real customers that love Splash Mountain
Based on what I know of Wdw attractions going down like that likely meant that morning startup checks of the ride didn’t go as planned and engineering came over to fix it. The leaders didn’t want not to be there for park open and waited until the last moment to close the ride.
My white guilt flares up everytime I go on that ride, and it just serves as a good reminder that all the world’s problems are my fault. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go look at the white face in the mirror and perform my daily self-flogging.

Hoping Disney does NOT change Splash Mountain. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with it…
