I am a huge animal lover, but this is just more ridiculousness from PETA. Why should they have a voice in what a film set cast and crew have to eat? Surely they can find something of more importance to worry about.
I agree! I too am an animal lover and feel like we need agencies like PETA to stank up for them. However, I feel that PETA has shot itself in the foot on this one. If this unreasonable kind of request gets any attention at all then PETA will become a laughing stock and will have zero respect and will have no credibility.
This is downright stupid so when Jesus fed the multitude with five fishes and seven loaves of bread, what was he doing then committing murder. These animal lovers are just downright stupid. You value the life of an animal more than you value the life of a human being. Bet they have no problem aborting babies.
Why not have the entire cast just fast for the entire production as a gesture to PETA? Maybe bread and water would be ok to them, except bread would harm the wheat being thrashed and the water would deplete one of our plant’s most precious resources. And while we’re at it, let’s petition Disney to now throw out all the red haired Ariel merchandise they market to remake it in the image of the non-supremacist New Ariel.
It’s ok people. Since Disney of the modern era (post Michael Eisner) embraces all social disparities and marginalized populations, PETA saw their chance to try and get onboard before there was no more room on the bus. Where are Simba and Mufasa going to find their tofu and bean sprouts on the savanna?

I’m an animal advocate and a vegetarian. PETA is an absolutely atrocious organization. With what they claim to do vs. what they actually do, where do they get off with doing this?
Growing up, I had an Ariel doll. She can speak to sea creatures, not land animals, so my Ariel wouldn’t eat surf, but she did love turf. So chefs, bring on the steak and hamburgers! Just leave fish off the menu. ??
