Prime parking is one of the biggest ripoffs you can throw your money at. It saves you an elevator ride and about 50 feet of walking, but you are still in the same garage, you still have to go through the same security line and hoof it 10 minutes through all of Citywalk to get to the front entrance to either park. Save yourself the money; it is not worth it.
Does it matter? Companies do what they want anyway. Prime parking is not much closer that regular parking. Total waste of money. If you are going, just know the walk is waiting. Take your time. Use the moving sidewalks. Mosey and look at sights. Walk not getting any shorter.
I fail to understand why Universal is charging for parking at all. They do not provide a shuttle service going from the parking lot to the entrance of the parks. It’s my only grip for Universal.
As for other things that might go up such as food or merchandise I blame the government – ALL workers are essential; ALL jobs are essential.
Paying above $10 for parking is just gouging. The parks should be grateful to have people willing to be gouged the exorbitant prices for entrance, bad/cold food, clothing, and other souvenirs. But to charge 30, 40, or 50 dollars JUST to park? Forget it, I’ll stay home until they respect me as a patron, which they obviously don’t now.
I think its crazy charging for parking you pay enough for every thing else if disne y wouldn t charge so much alot of more people would go because they have alot of kids that would love to go but they can’t afford it I know we love Disney we go as much as we can but with prices going up don’t know when we are able to go back I hope soon
IN 1995, I moved to an apt. just up the street from UO. The Twin Dungeons- as I called Uni’s county-sized garages- were still being built. Once they opened,, not only did I get Free Parking with my AP, but I could park very close to the Rotunda, behind the Handicapped sections! However, within a year or so, the Suits got wise to this loophole and started to charge us AP-holders $8.00 to use what they dubbed “Preferred Parking.” So, I gave up parking at UO and just decided to WALK there from then on, which only took me 45 minutes!
Disney has two parking prices $25 for regular cars, $45 for regular cars preferred /close parking, not worth it in my opinion. Parking is free for APs.
There are several prices for parking with Universal’s APs, very confusing but free on second subsequent visits.
At Disney there is no charge for Fast Pass – PRECOVID. There are several prices for Universal’s version of FP. Neither are reasonable but I find Universal nickle & dimes you to severe annoyance!

If people pay it I guess it’s reasonable. Personally I’ll pass
