    Greedy corporate bastards.

    Well I’m for and against it, if they wanted to I would pay out the extra money but only if they did a Force band for interactions throughout Galaxies Edge but I think they crossed a line just to do this for one ride.

    With the amount of money required to get into the park, it should be included. I know they are trying to recoup money from the revenue loss due to Covid but this is showing their greed and disregard for fans by requiring an additional $35-$65 to fully enjoy one ride!! Shame shame shame ?

      Wow, what a money grab! Just imagine the look on the children’s faces when mom and dad have to tell them we can’t afford to ride this ride! How un-magical! ?

        They can still ride, just not with upgrades

    It would be nice if the web-slingers were free, but I don’t think it’s fair to just criticize Disney for this. ALOT of places have you pay extra for stuff. If you go to a state fair, you pay for the admission and then you have buy tickets to go on the midway rides. Besides, buying the webslingers is optional. If the Spider-Man ride turns out to be really good even without the webslingers, then don’t think there’s a problem. It’s like going to a baseball game. If you have a good time sitting in the bleachers, then who cares if the cost of seats by the dugout are so much more?

    DLC = DisneyLand Con
    A ride should not require an additional cost to get the full experience. Just as Magic Bands cost extra, (they use to be free if staying at their hotels), they still gave you cards to get into a room, to get a fast pass, etc. You still have that option. It does cost a lot of money to just get into the park. When you add everyone in your party that would need the band, that is expensive.
    I agree that Disney could look at how EVERYONE is trying to rebound from the pandemic, and not be so greedy. Walt Disney wanted his park to be a place where families can go together. I doubt he ever thought families should have to mortgage their homes to enjoy the visit.

      Exactly!

    Soon its going to be “Free to ride!” and extra $35 if you want safety belts!

    Greedy yes, but the rich can afford it and will shell out the extra. Now who do you think the Disney parks are for !

    In the title the writer mentions universal calls Disney out hilariously.

    How was anything we just read… Hilarious? Give me a break.
    They use that word a lot for un funny stuff.

    Btw.. a big NO to paying more to get on a ride to get the full experience.

    No one has to buy anything on offer in Disney once you pay for your ticket. It’s the muggins (probably all the You Tubers who can afford it ) who will do it and encourage Disney to do it even more.
    As for Universal, how about not forcing people to have to put the tiniest bags into lockers for nearly every ride which are a pain to reopen and charge for every attraction photo individually and as for the food! At least Disney makes food that is at least edible.

    I think it’s an awesome idea. You can still ride it without the power bands but they unlock a new version of the ride. I won’t be purchasing a power band but it definitely peaks my curiosity. In my opinion it’s cooler than the wands at Universal.
