But why do they insist on taking established characters, that weren’t gay before (see the original Lando flirting with and eyeballing Leia when they were in Cloud City), and making them suddenly gay? Would it kill them to leave existing characters alone and create new, gay characters for whatever show/movie/universe they’re currently interested in? Kate McKinnon is, by most standards, at least semi-attractive; I’ve yet to hear of any straight guys demanding that she play a straight woman, just so they can get their jollies off by watching her make out with a male actor.
