Have you ever been late-night shopping on Amazon, and when you went to check out, wondered what the heck you added to your cart, and how the total price ended up being so much?

We definitely all have been there! Amazon could be a deep labyrinth of shopping for people of all ages, even the young age of four years old! If you remember the ice cream truck song playing as you were sitting in your house on a hot day, then, jumping to your front door to see if it was stopping so that you could get a popsicle and a swirl ice cream cone, you probably remember SpongeBob popsicles!

These classic ice cream truck treats can have any kid in a sugar coma frenzy, and it looks like little Noah from New York felt that way when he purchased $2,618.85 in SpongeBob popsicles! Noah purchase 51 cases of the sweet treat, totaling 918 popsicles. Well, as one can imagine, Noah’s family did not have the cash to pay for the purchase, and Amazon refused to issue a refund.

Katie (@katieschlossny) took to Instagram and GoFundMe to try and raise money for Noah’s family, as she worked with Noah’s mom and wanted to find a way to help the family as they panicked to collect the funds.

Meet 4-year-old Noah from Brooklyn, NY, who loves @spongebob sooo much that he managed to purchase $2,618.85 worth of SpongeBob popsicles from Amazon and had them sent to his Auntie’s house. In case you are wondering, that’s 51 cases, containing 918 popsicles.

As (truly!) adorable as this story is, Jennifer Bryant, Noah’s mom, is a social work student at NYU (we took Policy I together) and simply cannot afford this. Amazon will not take back the popsicles, and Ms. Bryant, mom to 3 boys, doesn’t know how she’s going to be able to pay this off, in addition to student loans and all of her family’s other expenses.

Link in profile, all donations make a difference, so let’s work together and help Jenny out!

Thank you so much; we’re so grateful for your support!

Remarkably, the GoFundMe managed to raise more than enough to get Noah’s family out of his SpongeBob debt! At the moment, there is $5,780 raised to help the family, which is pretty incredible.

Noah’s mom, Jennifer commented on the GoFundMe on May 4 stating:

“Thank you SO much for your mind-blowing generosity and support. We’re so grateful to have made back the $2,618.85 in a mere 24 hours (!!!). As a parent to a child living with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), all additional donations will go towards Noah’s education and additional supports. We cannot thank you enough. Truly. Love, Jennifer.”

It seems that little Noah needs to take a vacation to Universal Orlando where he can meet SpongeBob and enter Bikini Bottom!
