People who want the re-theme petition: 21,359 people

#SaveSplashMountain petition: Close to 90,000 people & growing

      58 #SaveSplashMountain petitions all together: 120,000 people

Apparently, you seem more interested in this ride changed for agenda driven ideology & ignoring the fact that it’s one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World. Plus Walt Disney himself produced the film. You want Walt removed too?! He saw something in James Baskett, who is the first African American to win a Academy Award in SOTS & first African American to be the lead in a animation film. Along with Hattie McDaniel who is the first African American to win a Academy Award for Gone with the Wind. Do you take pride erasing James Baskett, Nick Stewart, & Hattie McDaniel’s work as actors from SOTS & re-theming the most popular attraction at WaltDisneyWorld? That’s really sad. The only people that want this ride re-themed is the small social media mob on twitter. I see the line waits almost everyday for Splash Mountain, it’s always the longest line wait times compared to the other attractions.

I do not support the revamp of splash mountain my #2 ride behind it’s a small world. And I am 56 . And Disney support of BLM who Con people out of their money and spending on buying million dollar homes and not spending it on what they told the people they were gone spend it on But didn’t hear anything from Disney about all lives matter . That to me shows more racism from Disney than Uncle Remus.

I truly do not understand why Disney fans consider this racist. I have been on this ride many times since 1999 in both American parks. When I go in the ride, all I see is Brer Rabbit trying to move, to the happy place!

Disney has gotten way too overpriced! Time to go to universal studios and CHEAPER theme parks! I hear legoland is pretty cool!

There isn’t any racism in Splash Mountain and I’m so disappointed in Disney for caving to the demands of the loudest while ignoring the majority who petitioned for SM to NOT be re-themed. My family has enjoyed this ride for years, we don’t want it changed. That being said Princess Tiana can be worked in somewhere in Disneyland or Disney World since they have more space. Or Disneyland might find room as part of their planned expansion.
