If they are going to immediately increase park capacity they need to flip on the switch for FastPass+. They could do it in one day. And they definitely need more dining options.

  2. Adam

Fast pass only makes the Wait times slower people are dumb for believing it makes it faster.

  3. Theo

We need Annual Pass sales back.

Disney won’t be seeing one cent of our $10K to stay 7 nights at the Grand in early Aug if they don’t bring back FP+ with this capacity increase. It is unfair to ask Disney guests to pay that amount of money and not bring back more of the “magic”- restore the entertainment (Fantasmic please!), more dining options, and of course FP+
Otherwise we will be taking our $10K and going to Turks and Caicos this winter. Disney can’t expect to keep pricing the same for a watered down experience- not for those of us who have visited WDW several times in the past and know what is now lacking and for no real reason other than Disney cutting costs under the disguise of “safety measures”. Not buying it Disney. Nope

By then we won’t miss your money you big baby

    2. Jerry

You probably will and This is a good thing.

      Bye felicia.

    Yes !!!!
Fast passes need to come back immediately!
Otherwise it’s just not worth going over there with the kids. Lines are already too long and with capacity increasing ….

    1. Dan

Absolutely need fastpasses back. Health won’t allow me to stand in lines for 2-3 hours that were normal during busier times.
Also, the virtual queue concept feels like I am spending thousands on Disney hotels and won’t be able to ride anything because not tech savvy enough and fat thumbs. If Disney doesn’t want our money, that is fine. We will spend our money at places that care about us.

    2. Mary

Yes fast pass plus and the disney quick service dinning plan need to come back.

    3. Caro

Fastpasses ARE the reason for the 2+ hour waits!! Because standby has to be stopped to let fastpass in as a priority. Without fastpasses, standby lines just keep flowing.

  6. Chris

FP+ simply causes longer waits for everything, I don’t see it ever returning in it’s prior form. I think it will be reimagined into something more like Maxpass at Disneyland.

    1. Jordan Cole

It causes longer waits for those who don’t know how to use it/refuse to use it. I’ve never gone and waited more than 20 minutes for any attraction during the summer. I think they should bring it back but I could see making all of them day of passes except for those staying at Disney resorts.

      1. Jon Ruoss

Exactly, utilizing FP was an art form.

        1. Jerry

Ok, you’re brainwashed. The comment was about how it will make everybody else’s line longer. I know you dont care about that, but it affects the experience.

      2. Jerry

It just causes longer waits for everyone else. You’re so vain, you probably think the comment was about You.

  7. Mango Molly

    Yes! Fastpass, dining plans etc.!

  8. We needed fast pass in December. Think about it, no entertainment/shows. Without entertainment/shows/parades, the crowds only have one option, standing in line for an attraction. Open fast pass and open the entertainment!!!

R.I.P. FassPass…. You won’t be missed. Even though the lines at the parks are getting longer, I love that they move quickly…. mostly because FP is gone. The people that like FP are the same people that shop at stores with perpetual sales and coupons… they feel like they are getting a deal, but in reality is all just a hustle.

    1. AC

They only move quickly cause capacity was at 35%. Now it’s increasing almost daily and they won’t say to how much. FP is going to be needed if they return to bear full capacity.

      1. dave

while I respect your opinion, I do not believe this to be true. Capacity has nothing to do with the actual lines moving… In reality, the distancing on rides made the lines slower than they should have been. So I am slightly confused in your argument.

I understand that distancing in lines made you have to walk further while in line, but the lines still moved the same as if there had not been distancing.

I am not a math or physics wiz, but I have a hard time when I hear this argument. X people can ride the ride per X hours. That has nothing to do with park capacity. Now given the distancing, I would argue the opposite as X people can ride was less than normal.

    2. Jo

It sure how it was a “hustle” since FP is/was free

      1. Jerry

Haha. Nothing is free, the price increase was built in as is the fact that you changed the park, without realizing it from a place you could go to and experience yourself, to one that you must plan a year in advance like it is some kind of wedding. and you are still paying for it in other ways.

Would love it if they switched to an Express Pass system like Universal Studios. We went there this Spring Break because we couldn’t get tickets to Disney. Wonderful experience with the Express Pass. Worth every penny!

  11. Mary

Yes fast pass plus and the disney quick service dinning plan need to come back.

  12. Carolina

No, fast passes do not need to come back!! They actually make things worse. Our lines move so much faster without them.

    1. Jerry

You’re right in principle but of course we wont know until we are at full capacity. Still, I’m glad to see an employee commenting instead of the typical entitled rich brat that wants to go to an amusement park without lines.

  13. Forget fastpass bring back extra magic hours at the parks either late hours or early in hours

I have commented on FP+ here before, but I wanted to share my experiences and feelings based on my experience with FP+. I visited Disney 3 times last year. Once before the pandemic, and then twice during mask mandate and sans FP+. My wife and I never stay onsite due to the cost.

I personally liked the sans FP+ better. For us it reduced stress (Having to make sure to make your FP time). It allowed us to go with the flow more and be spontaneous about what rides we wanted to stand in line for. It made it feel more fair since you did not see the FP+ line rushing by while you stood still for hours. The lines moved very quickly. The reduced capacity has nothing to do with the lines moving fast as the ride capacity was also decreased.

I do think there might should be some allocation for a FP+ program, but it should probably be much more limited (Maybe one ride a day), or incorporated into a virtual queue system so you choose to stand in line, or you can check in and wait outside line until you number is called. I do think you should ALWAYS have the option of standing in line Vs what they have done with the current virtual queues.

Unfortunately standing in lines is what makes the park traversable when at full capacity. You got to have half of the park in a line in order to be able to walk down one pathway.

I think no matter what Disney does, they will anger many, and thrill others. Its a lose-lose scenario with anything they implement. The old fogies will harken back to the glory days, and the young folks will demand the new.

All in all, it will continue to be a magical experience. You will always have to stand in lines, you will always have to deal with crowds, you will always have good things and bad.

  15. Just happy they are open and yes the good with the bad etc…

  16. Jeff

Disney Springs needs to go back to late night hours (2am) allowing more of the bands and entertainers to get back to work on that property.

  17. Don B

It’s ridiculous to think that they will not bring back Fastpass once they get back to full capacity. I have been going to Disney since the Magic Kingdom opened in the 70’s and Fastpass is one of the best things they ever created. It helps planners to make the best use of their time. versus waiting in lines all day. Disney is going to be a miserable place without it just as it used to be prior to its creation. It’s too hot to wait for 60-90 min for each ride. Be smart Disney. Our money over the past 50 years helped build you.
