Easy solution, have a “private gondola” line just like the single rider line… But they get last priority over the people who just want to get to where they’re going. Want a private ride? Wait for the non-picky people to board first.
Exactly what I was going to suggest, of course I have to use an ECV and as such always get a private gondola as a result, but if for some reason I didn’t, I wouldn’t complain about others in my gondola.
We are a small party & rode yesterday with another small party. It was still spacious & roomy! We had great conversation too! Relax people & enjoy the ride.
I don’t know which camp mystifies me more. The ones that are all upset about capacity going up, as if a company can stay in business forever on 25% of their normal revenue (not to mention the 75% of the workforce that is out of a job), just so they can be a little less crowded when they go to a theme park with thousands of people…or…the camp that is all upset about every little positive sign that things are going back to normal as if they wanted all this madness to just go on indefinitely.
Stop it! Have you ever rode on the monorail or bus at Disney?? Get over it.. you people are never happy.. please stay home.. we dont want your negativity at the parks
Wow, first world problem I guess if we have folks unhappy that they can’t have public transportation all to themselves. Maybe just focus on the fact that you are on vacation in one of the most fun places on earth and don’t sweat the small stuff?
Wow, this is how it is supposed to be running. Lines move faster so you get to the parks quicker. If you flew on a plane to Orlando you were real close to a lot of people you don’t know and that flight lasted hours. This is for 15 minutes maybe. You can always take a bus or call an Uber if you want to be alone. We need to get back to normal ASAP.
One of many reasons I love the skyliner is talking to people. “Hi, where are you from? What brings you to Disney World?”
I’m all for shorter wait times and meeting new people!
Ruins my enjoyment of a peaceful moment while boxed in with crying, screaming kids. Thanks!!!! PS. Can’t even relax and stretch my legs with people sitting 3 feet directly in front of me. Not enjoyable at all. Keep it one family or group per gondola.
Fit up to 10 guests is not accurate. There are all size of guests. I rode the Sky Liner in April and did not feel that 10 strangers would comfortably sit in a car. It would be a very uncomfortable ride, space wise. Two guests of two different families might be alright. Please reassess your loading guidelines. The wait would be most acceptable for the enjoyment of a magical ride to Disney areas.
A pretty reliable vlogger stated you can still request your own gondola if you’re not comfortable. They realize people aren’t all vaccinated and entirely comfortable yet. So there’s that…
Have been twice since reopen. Enjoy having the gondola to just our party, one was three and the second four. Going in november party of 8 including one stoller. That is enough! I am claustrophobic, hope they dont try to add 2 more strangers in there!

For the most magical place on Earth there sure are a lot of cry babies.
Candace
For the most magical place, bet there are individuals who can’t follow simple directions like “wear your mask while on transportation”

I so agree. Such entitlement!

This is mass transit, not an attraction.

This is great news! The lines will move faster this way and we can all get to our happy place that much quicker.

Agree completely, was there in April, the skyliner lines were long. I’ll ride with anyone for shorter lines.
