I was excited when I first heard the news but should have known it was too good to be true. I don’t go to the CMC because I want to see the surroundings. I go there for the food and the food isn’t going to be there. I go to buffets in Pennsylvania presently and have no problems. They could try a little harder to satisfy their clientele and at the very least make it a family style service similar to O’hana. I would like to know what their reasoning is behind their decision to do this. I can only assume it’s a way of taking away another good thing like the Magical Express because it’s not profitable enough. I’m not very happy with their decision, not that it matters to Disney. They’ve become less caring about those who have been there to support them through this difficult time. Being from PA, I’ve been to Disney in February, August, and October of 2020. Thank you Disney for thinking of us.
Barry, you seem to think loyalty matters a lot when dealing with a global pandemic! If you think that WDW did not take a MAJOR hit—you really must be living in wonder land!!! This covid thing IS still a thing and I think that DISNEY has done a great job handling it!
I really really hope they will bring Minnie and gang back at some point. The character meals are a major draw for us and we would be super sad if they don’t come back!
We go to Cape May every time we go to Disney (at least once a year, if not 2-3 times per year). We love the seafood buffet. By taking that away, we will probably not be back. It was our favorite restaurant on property. I am disappointed, as I know of other buffets that are operating. I understand Disney has taken a huge loss, but this their best buffet. They are so innovative, I’m sure they could have figured something out to keep it going.
Agreed! Cape May was my hands down my favorite dining experience in Disney. It was the only place anywhere that I know of where you could eat your weight in clams, mussels, but most of all- crab legs without going bankrupt. My family has two trips planned, and I doubt that we’ll ever eat here again now ?. At least I have the memories.
Can’t believe they’re taking away the Cape May buffet. Hands down favorite. It could be done safely. PA has a huge buffet in Lancaster that’s been open for months. Safely. Hope they change their minds.

Yea. All these “precautions” for the pandemic them cram 500 people together like sardines inside the Haunted Mansion! Very cautious!
