Wouldn’t mind seeing her in Star Wars…

Just when you thought Star Wars couldn’t get anymore….in walks Brie Larson, “Hold my beer.”

Disney went woke and overboard with cancel culture. In response, no more Disney for us.

    1. Good for you.

NO! HARD PASS! Bring Karen Gillan in for this, you already own her contract for the MCU, it would be perfect for her. Plus she’s ACTUALLY a red head.

    1. Luke Andrews

      Indeed. And she can act.

  5. Jackiedude

I like her as an actress but to her Star Wars character to be the most powerful just because is ridiculous.

I want to be labeled the best by computer generated abilities and rewritable lore versus being actually physically the greatest or actually be a great actress… I want to have my place in history because it’s my right but not because I earned it… Sigh…

Getting someone who can actually act to play Mara Jade would be a better choice. But I’m sure Brie will get her wish, since as a millionaire actress she’s SO marginalized and discriminated against.

  8. I will totally give up on Star Wars if she gets the part

This is an old story it’s
Not true she went for an audition karen gillan has the part instead look at the picture the comic one it looks just like her that’s why shes got the part

  10. Meh

She couldn’t pull off being the strongest avenger. Now she wants to ruin another franchise?

Mara is a fan fav, Brie not so much, terrible choice.

  13. Bob Boogie

Sure if they want to kill off the franchise once and for all. Lets jump the shark.

good, but….dont do this like that,i wanna be the best bla bla because she was strongest marvel character…it is not nice to make yourself MEGA EGOIST…YOU ARE NICE SEXY BEAUTY BUT DONT BE EGOIST WOMEN

  15. Nick

I hope not. Small World dolls give more lifelike performances then her

She still thinks Marvel is stronger than Thor so just let her think that about her Jedi character as well! She’s to dumb to know any better!

People! WAKE UP! As has been established, attacking someone who perceives themselves to be a victim only enforces that! If people would just ignore her, there wouldn’t be any legitimacy to her claims. Also, to all the Gina Carrano fans, this is exactly the same thing. Don’t attack people for being offended at someone you like while you simultaneously get offended by comments Brie Larson makes. Also, Brie Larson has had direct control over projects in the past, but she probably won’t have the same amount of control in Star Wars. One last thing, are people actually annoyed with the movies she’s in or her acting, or just her political stances? That strengthens the Gina Carrano comparison even more.

There used to be a thing as knowing your audience. The nerd culture doesn’t need forced feminism. Nor does it react well to it. Nerd culture does, however, welcome well written/acted female characters. Could Brie’s Captain Marvel be her Green Lantern and this roll be her Deadpool? Extremely unlikely. If she’s already attempting to have her character be “the strongest and bestest ever” then it looks like yet another poor decision casting someone who just wants to make a point(that’s already been made).
Star Wars already has well written, and well liked, strong female characters. Brie has already screwed the pooch with the MCU. Don’t let her screw a second franchise.
