I know a sh!t show is about to commence. I didn’t defend my position in the previous post so I’ll do it here.

    here goes

its private property. As a medical doctor and moral human being I think its a good idea considering how crowded it gets. If you don’t want to wear a mask don’t go.

    then I get

“Thanks for reminding us that being a doctor means little.”

cool, don’t ever go to one then

    and

“And as a doctor you took an oath to do no harm. There is no solid scientific nor medical evidence that masks prevent the spread of anything. And, as a medical doctor, you know for a fact that you wear the mask to protect yourself from the patient.

How much are they are paying you to lie?”

A good doctor almost never believes they are 100% sure about anything. 99% sure sometimes, 90% sure sometimes, hell, 51% sometimes.

You always have to know what the stakes are for being wrong.

I am about 100% certain that masks help to *some* degree. How much that some is is up for debate, I happen to think that good masks help a whole lot. And crappy masks a moderate bit. I don’t understand the 100% it doesn’t help so I’m going to get in some poor employee’s grill for it.

I am 100% certain that CoVid is worse than the flu, I see patients in the hospital and I have seen extra refrigerator trucks come in last spring and bodies put in them.

You are 100% sure masks don’t work even a little? 99%? And if you’re wrong?

And accusing me of getting paid to lie? Seriously?

I feel sorry for whatever happened to you that this is how you feel about us.

For your information, my income has decreased in half because, get this, just about none of my patients have gotten sick in the past year, where normally there would be hundreds of visits for respiratory stuff, I can count on my two hands , other than Covid patients getting *really* sick – we’ve had to tell them to go to hospitals because our little office doesn’t have the ability to help or test them.

    1. Fred

It’s private property! If you follow the rules….no problem. Decide your special and you don’t have to follow the rules…. well, see ya! Simple as that! When did we become such a “me”generation, that so many individuals can’t see that doing right for the majority of people is doing the right thing for ALL of the people?! Hats off to Disney for doing what’s right to protect us all. I’m sure he’d be the first in line to file a lawsuit if they didn’t and he or one of his family contracted COVID.

      1. Paul Rainwater

Disney needs to be refunding him for his entire vacation and dumb policy

        1. Bryan

          No, they dont

          1. Steven

Bryan, it is PRIVATE PROPERTY, they can enforce whatever rules they see fit. If you do not agree, don’t go! Simple.

          2. Amanda

Mr Rainwater, Disney does not & should not return this guest his money. When booking his vacation he would have been informed about the current policies & procedures. Including the strict ones for Covid there are numerous warnings about the updated policies that YOU AGREE YOU MUST ADHERE TO WHILE ON ANY DISNEY PROPERTY. These policies & procedures apply to all Disney employees & guests & are enforced no matter how much you spend on your vacation. This gentleman was just arrogant & felt entitled to do whatever he pleased & when faced with opposition he refused to do a simple 3 second temperature scan & cause a scene. He deserves whatever punishment is coming his way & a public apology for being a inconsiderate to the other diners & Disney employees alike.(

        2. Glen

Absolutely do not need to refund this trouble maker. I figure he Should be banned from the property. His attitude needs a hard adjustment.

        3. Joe B

No, he was a jerk, who couldn’t follow the rules. Disney was 100% correct here.

        4. Sue

Absolutely agree 100%. Disney is over stepping the bounds legally and have been doing so for years.

          1. Tyler Rowan

How are they overstepping legal boundaries? They are private property and they have the right to enforce whatever policy they want and this policy it made to keep people safe. And that is exactly what they are doing. They have signs all over the place with their policy about masks and other safety guidelines for handling this.

        5. Mickeba

How about people stop acting like stereotypically dumb Snericans? He agreed when he made his reservations to follow all the rules. No refunds allowed. That doesn’t mean he can act like a thug and a bully, throw his wealth in everyone’s face and do whatever he feels like doing? To that guy, I say, “sorry Klown! You get to learn an important and expensive lesson. I’m glad he’s out the $$$!

        6. Paully

          Sorry..
          No they don’t ..

      2. Michael Smith

Jan 20, 2017 Noon EST seems to be the day that they became way more vocal and went from muttering the stupid stuff to feeling empowered to say it.

        1. Jacob Noyes

I think my favorite part of these arguments is that the anti-mask policy is almost exclusively republican, which should mean they should be pro-business and anti-government involvement. If a privately owned business says, “wear shoes or a shirt” or “I don’t want to bake a cake for a gay couple’s wedding” they agree. But when Disney says they should wear a mask they say, “that’s an infringement on my rights!”

          Pick a lane.

      3. DEGAFEDA

The problem is that a lot of the “me” generation isn’t the younger folks. It’s the older ones not willing to pass the torch because they want to keep calling the shots. There is a collective midlife crisis going on.

This is traditional “bad kid” behavior. Getting your temperature taken is like a 3 second thing. You can’t suddenly be fine with it once you’re on your way to jail because you pouted and threw a fit for an hour. I never thought I’d say this, but these adults need to grow up.

        1. Sue

Not sure what your definition of “old” is, but I believe this guy is only in his 40s. Age has nothing to do with entitlement.

    2. Sue

If you really are a doctor, then what do you say to people who have an actual legitimate medical reason that they cannot wear a mask? You did take an oath to do no harm and it is scientifically proven that masks actually cause other health problems that are far worse than covid19. You have lost income due to the fact that you are lying to the general public that covid19 has a 97% recovery rate; there are therapies that work; and the vaccine was rushed and is high questionable.

      1. Angie

If people have a legitimate reason to not wear a mask then they why are they there? Because they’re just putting themselves even more at risk. Or they can just wait until masks are no longer required. Either way Disney is private property so they can enforce whatever rules they want. And it’s all made know to you before you even pay your deposit.

  2. Cheryl Weeks

The idiot knew the rules before he and his family went to Disney World. In addition, they are posted everywhere at Disney Springs and in the parks. I could care less how much he paid for his trip. No amount of money entitles you to break the rules and put others at risk. I hope he gets permanently banned from all Disney properties.

    1. Michael Smith

Yep. He didn’t try to cooperate until they told him they were arresting him. He had social “beer muscles” up until the cops arrested him then he wanted to comply. Private property of a well funded corporation is not the place to try and prove your point. He thought money and other things entitled him. He was wrong.

      1. Kat

The covid restrictions are way out of hand. This is is a virus with a 99.98 recovery rate!! We have become a bunch of sheep and follow dictat0r rules.

My whole family including siblings and their families had covid in November and i have had worse cold symptoms!!

States need to get back to NORMAL!

If you are that afraid of catching what amounts to the flu or even less then stay home and let the rest of us live normal lives!!!!

        1. Sue

          100% correct! Boycott Disney!

          1. marcus

That’s right! You should also boycott this site as well so we don’t have to read the drivel that comes out of your keyboard and into the comments you leave here.

        2. Paul Hacker

How about the 530,000 plus people who didn’t recover?

          1. mom

I don’t think she really cares. It’s only about her.

  3. D. Plante

Let him go it’s public property!

    1. David

Since when is Disney Springs Public Property? Me thinks you do not know what the difference between Private and Public Property is if you think Disney Springs is Public Property.

      1. Sue

Actually it is both. Considering there is no fee to get in, technically Disney Springs is open to the public and therefore cannot refuse entry to anyone for any reason – it is actually against the law. Disney Springs is private property as they own the property but because of how they run their business it is public.

Disney has gone crazy and needs to stop it. I can’t even begin to explain how many laws Disney is breaking with this whole BS over masks and temperature taking.

        1. Matthew

This is 100% wrong. Disney Spring is private property and they can impose what rules they want. It is, in no way whatsoever, public property.

          You boomers are so ignorant.

      2. Doc70

Don’t like the policy, don’t go. Many people have returned to Disney because they felt safe knowing Disney would hold everyone accountable.

    2. M

Consequences are clear. His own fault for not following the rules. At least ALL that happened to him was a trespass. Could have been much worse.

    3. ADINA LONG

You must be Louisiana too lol.

      1. A

Hey, we are not all like that in Louisiana. This guy is a complete idea. As others have stated he did not to follow the rules until the cops was about to arrest him. The attitude this guy has and most likely the same way folks act when they go thru the check point at the airport. If you do not have the acceptable mask you will have to pay $500 (this is what I’ve been told). Masks are provided by customer service (free), but some people still won’t wear them.

    4. Colorado Disney

No Disney Springs is private property owned by Disney just like the the Disney parks. And how hard is it to follow the rules to be there and you don’t want to don’t go there. He got what he deserves.

  4. D. Plante

Let him go it’s public property!

    1. Uh, no it isn’t. Like, literally the opposite.

    2. Jeremy T

      You’re still wrong.

  5. Robyn Marks

I think Disney have turned into money grubbing rip offs since Uncle Walt died, but I agree that they did the right thing here. He may have paid that much for the trip, he didn’t pay that much to get into the park, and even if he did too bad.

  6. Dale

He knew the rules and refused to follow them because he dropped a ton of cash?

    Too bad.

    His fault.

  7. If I paid $15,000 for a special Disney trip, I’m going to make a point nothing I did involved the police being called.

    1. Sue

Disney still is obligated to refund the fee if they had him escorted off the property.

      1. bizzaroux

“Obligated” based on what? Is there a legal statute you can provide here?

  8. Joe G.

The rules are posted and everyone knows them. It is private property. That being said, if he’s so against masks, be shouldn’t have gone.

That’s why I refuse to go. If 90% of people did the same, masks would no longer be forced.

  9. Dan K

I think Disney can make whatever rules they want and I can choose whether to go or not based on the rules they have in place. I think I am at much higher risk for suffering ill effects from heat exhaustion than from Covid at Disney, so they will not be getting my business until they drop the mask requirement. But if you are aware of the rules and choose to go anyway and then don’t follow them even after being warned, you shouldn’t be surprised when they throw you out of the park.

    1. GregariousGreg

Thing is, not all dummies self segregate. Kudos to you, tho.
Btw, yay he spent 15K. I guess everybody else around him got in for free.

  10. Joann Rescelo

We were at disney this past January-February We stayed at Fort Wilderness Camp Ground . They make you wear masks when you are riding on your golf carts. They even have employees at the stops making sure people on their carts all have on masks. Was it silly? yes. Was it uncomfortable? yes
Did we put our masks on every time we got into our golf cart? Yes Why ? Because it’s their rules and this participation award generation needs to know you don’t give 100% you don’t get 100%.
He didn’t care abut the rules .He got caught . He got punished . He has to now take that punishment and live with the consequences that he did not obey the rules 100% .

Being trespassed on Disney Property means he is banned from all Disney Properties all over forever.
Next time in situations like this maybe he will do what’s right .

    1. Joe

Not forever. It is a 1 year ban and then you can request reinstatement.

    2. Anon

I agree with most of your point here, but “the participation award generation”??
I’d put good money on the guy being a boomer.

      1. Adam M.

Uhhh, he is 47. NOT a boomer.

      2. Kaitlin

He is Gen X actually but if you find other news articles about him, seems like he is a jerk all around.

  11. Becky

Um… world class idiot if he paid $15k to get into Disney Springs. It’s free.

    1. Tad

Reading comprehension is a lost art. You probably shouldn’t be dropping the “idiot” label Beck … He paid $15,000 to stay at Saratoga Springs Resort, he was eating at Disney Springs. “I paid $15,000. You can’t trespass me for paying $15,000,” said Sills, a guest at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, after he was led away.” ?

  12. Marvin

So based on his argument, if I pay $15k to go somewhere, I can run around naked, shooting people. Mmmmk.

  13. tonyb

If you can’t/won’t follow the rules; STAY HOME. Disney is a private property/business that can, and does, enforce their own rules.

  14. Angela

Good for him for standing his ground! I fully support his choices and will not be supporting Disney in any capacity based on how they’re choosing to behave as a company. Shame on them!

    1. Stan

Good riddance to you and him both then. Two less losers crowding up the park. Go stand your ground all you want. OFF disney property.

    2. Richard Fitch

      Angela , you’re a fool .

    3. Daul Paintwater

This happened in Florida. I don’t think you understand what stand your ground is in that state. Although someone making choices as poor as this idiot, he probably would have no problem shooting someone dead over a small argument, such as “you cut in line!” because he fears for his life.

But taking a simple precaution against a potentially deadly virus? No way, man! He ain’t afraid of non functioning lungs!

Good riddance to both him and Angela. Please watch your step as you exit civilized society.

    4. Bill

Angela, so you support his rights? What about the businesses right to say no shirt, no soes no service. Or no mask, no temp check no service? They’ve had their rules laid out on all their sites, and prior to entering their parks and resorts. He chose to go there, so why shouldn’t he follow their rules? Yet the rest of his family did. I am deeply saddened at the sheep like mentality you have. Educate yourself or just don’t post.

    5. Been There

He’s NOT standing his ground, he’s sitting…in the back of a police cruiser.

  15. Richard Fitch

Well done Disney , you are 100% right .

  16. Ron Woodward

What a fool. Ruin your vacation by not letting them point an IR temperature meter at your forehead for a few seconds. He is probably such an overbearing jerk that his family is glad to be rid of him for the rest of their vacation. They will probably have an absolutely great time without him telling them all what they have to do. If I were his wife I would not bail him out of jail until it was time to head home.

    1. Mom

You are so right. I’ve been to Disney Springs many times this year…I’m not exactly sure how he was able to pass by temperature checks in the first place….except by not maintaining social distance and then walking around other people while they get checked..either way he certainly didn’t pass by them the entire time. So why decide that this particular temperature check is worth ruining a vacation over? This isn’t even similar to the mask debate. If you have a temperature and your actively walking around in public avoiding temperature checks then you are entirely selfish and possibly a psychopath.

  17. Jr Ramirez

    F U Disney

    1. Emma

Pull your skirt down Jr., your ignorance is showing.

  18. Lizanne

Exactly and he acted like an idiot in front of his kids ,THEN acts as if the police are making me look bad. Ban his ass forever. We all pay the same amount to go there, it’s their rules. If you don’t like the rules kindly exit the ride!!!

  19. Lori

It is quite simple. You know about the temp check and mask rules before you come. I don’t care if you spent $100,000 to come, YOU KNOW THE RULES. Your opinion of the rules is irrelevant.
If I said, ” think the speed limit should be 100 mph on the interstate”. I will still be charged with a crime if I do it, because it’s against the rules.

  20. Laura MICKELSON

Well he got what he deserved for not cooperating with the rules. Be an adult not a hoodlum show people you care about your health and others around you. Show good morals especially around your family

  21. Jed

Who in their right mind would ever pay $15,000 for a “vacation” to be monitored and harassed. Dumb policy and I hope the park sees a drop in attendance.

  22. Fives

You have to love those idiots who refuse to follow rules, gives employees a hard time when asked to follow those rules, and then beg to go back once they realize that, no, you actually will get arrested for causing a disturbance on a company’s private property.

  23. KiKi

So couple things here. Rules are everywhere. Let that sink in. Most places you go to have dress codes/rules you have to follow in order to be there (no shirt, no shoes) even where you work has a required dress code. Mask is no different. Remember when seat belt laws were enforced people didn’t want to wear them either now look. Seatbelts don’t 100% guarantee you will survive a crash, but I like the odds a lot better then if you don’t wear one. All this got started because some guy wanted to look like a moron and refuse to get his temp checked. Now let THAT sink in. Don’t be stupid – if the rules on someone’s playground require wearing a mask either you wear it or don’t play. Simple as that.

  24. MARGARET PERRY

He, not Disney broke the rules. When he booked his vacation he knew he had to wear a mask. Disney does not owe him a dime.

  25. JJ

This guy is also under investigation in Louisiana for insurance fraud. He didn’t pay the insurance premiums of his employees (even though the premiums were deducted from his employee’s paychecks) and now one of his former employees is almost a half a million dollars in debt because he was hospitalized and had to have his leg amputated after a motorcycle accident.

In my opinion, this guy is an absolute waste of good air at this point.

  26. Ron

Did he say that back in February? Is there a recording, was the media there (no)
Where did you get that quote? It is not what he said.. just trying to generate views and stir up the sheep.

  27. Rob Parra

You can’t follow rules. Cult members think rules don’t apply to them just like their ousted leader. Follow rules no problem. We have been to Disney 4x during the pandemic with no issues. Why? We follow the rules. We to also drop a lot of money in Disney. Also DVC members and annual pass holders. These people that start up at Disney should be arrested and yes in front of your children. Maybe they will learn to follow rules. That rules apply to all even when you drop $15,000. Oh please. So pathetic.

    1. Kat

Ou are an IDIOT that really thinks big govt is out there for your benefit!!???? baaa baaa baaaa?

  28. BB

Guess now we know what happens when a grown-up refuses to follow the rules and throws a hissy fit at Disney World.

  29. Debbie

Disney did what they had to do Its his fault for humiliating himself in front of his family. If they let one infraction go it will eventually spiral out of control. If you cant follow the rules dont go. Keeps it safer for everyone else…even the small children follow the rules.

  30. Claire

I don’t understand why he didn’t just go when the police first asked him to. What was the big deal? If he was so worried about his 15k and his kids, he would have gone immediately. Anything for attention

  31. Bill

Look, I’m not sure this mask thing is even necessary. I don’t agree with it at all; however, I do agree with people’s rights. If a business has a sign that says mandatory mask to enter, I do it. It’s basically like the no shirt no shoes no service rule that’s been around for decades. In short, he got what he deserved. A consequence for an action.

  32. Barbara

To me it is simple: I do not want to get sick and possibly die. And I do not want anybody else to get sick and die because of me! It is a simple price to pay for me to stay alive and well. So anything that is required is ok for me. Disney needs to do everything possible to keep everyone safe! Thank you.

  33. Theresa Spradling

While it is 0rivate property….their house their rules type thing

But wearing a mask outside is just plan crazy! Inside I can understand but outside I just don’t get

  34. WSFormerCM

Disney has a right to refuse service to anyone as long as its rules are implemented with everyone. A little background about this guy from Baton Rouge. The owner of a construction company he allegedly owes LA State police nearly $900,000, according to a local television station. He allegedly took money from the state department of transportation to pay a police detail charged with controlling traffic around a bridge construction project his company was working on. State police say that money never made it to them. He also said he was a Disney stockholder. Quality person.

  35. ADINA LONG

I’m stationed on gulf coast of MS and briefly lived in LA. I can TOTALLY believe this idiot is from there. Private property equals follow owner”s rules. If I throw a party and charge $$ to come to it, does NOT mean you can come trash my house. You still need to follow house rules.

  36. So cause u spent money at a place that seeks it and u think your privileged?? Lol….

  37. Steve

I hope his kids hate him for this. What a selfish little crybaby. A simple temp check to make his kids happy and he didn’t care about them. What a loser.

    1. M.R.Dunaj

What the heck…our freedoms are being whittled away and few see it…no one should put themselves or family in harm’s way…so why are people ok with having the government tell us what to do…in fact if you’re concerned about about catching the kid…why are you at disney…us catching something has nothing to do with wearing or not wearing a mask…it comes down to protecting yourselves instead of worrying what others are doing …you should be worried if you’re doing right…will let prisoners go bring sick people to our country ….and your upset over someone not getting his temp check… anyone see a problem

      1. Kat

        I agree with you M.R.!
I have seen so many holier than thou politicians on the LEFT WITHOUT masks in public!! “For thee but not me” mentality.

Obviously the dems are not concerned or they would not allow ILLEGALS to pour into our country unabated, but this IS their future voters!

This virus is highly contagious as my entire family and many friends have had it but have no idea how.. Guess what!?.. We ALL survived!!!

Live your lives instead of cowering in fear by what a dictatorial govt tells you to do. True s0cialism at work.

For those paranoid scared individuals stay home and cower until viruses completely disappear which will NEVER happen since there are over millions you encounter everyday that your immune system fights off!! They even tell you to mask up after you had it or have been immunized!! Are they kidding??!!!!!

Live people..see loved ones, take trips.. We arent here long enough to cower inside a bubble.

  38. I agree that Disney World is private property. I agree that the rules Disney came up with are to keep their guests safer from COVID-19……..Having said that, there are quite a few “grey” areas, and having your temperature taken is one of them to some people. HIPPA laws still apply. Having your temperature taken by a non-medical professional, and not being able to refuse without consequences, as well as your “health information” being seen by whoever is operating the temperature apparatus, is violating HIPPA laws. That’s why HIPPA laws were created. It’s not an issue for me personally, but for others it is, and HIPPA laws apply, even on private property. A mask is different, that wouldn’t fall under the HIPPA laws, but the temperature check does. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good idea, but like I said, it’s still a “grey” area.

    1. Bob

The temperature checks are done by Adventhealth employees and they weren’t taking names so I’m not sure where the HIPAA violation is here.

    2. Sue

Good try. HIPAA applies to your medical records and therefore hospitals & medical offices. A simple temp check that is in no way attached to a medical file is not a HIPAA violation. No “grey area”.

    3. Bob M.

Yeah, I bet your silly insistence on “freedoms from rules” that don’t exist here are probably a good purveyor of who you voted for.

    4. Lucky

Then what happens when ignorant parents send their kids to school sick.. whose going to protect the teachers and other innocent children. When it goes to the health and safety of the general public .. there are some laws or policies that must be waved! Point blank period! We as teachers have to take temperature checks on students for the health and safety of everyone else!

    5. marcus

Wow you sure use HIPAA an awful lot for someone that doesn’t have a damn clue about how it actually works. You might want to hit up Dr Google or Nurse Bing for a refresher course before spewing a whole bunch of nonsense in your next post.

  39. Kelly Howell

It’s fine if you don’t want your temp checked, just don’t come. If it was only about you and your safety, you have a right to refuse but it isn’t. We can’t expect to get back to normal if ppl aren’t willing to do their part. It’s not like they are asking to take it rectally. Some ppl choose to fight the most stupid things. This is to help keep us all safe while we try to make it work. If you are that offended, don’t go. We just went 3wks ago & it was made very clear what precautions would be enforced. But to act like that in front of your children?? To keep them & others safe??

  40. TeeBun

Steve, you have a point. Getting trespassed/arrested for trespassing is nothing like the comparison of spitting on a security cast member. That’s assault and this is being an ass.

  41. Nima

I don’t understand why he didn’t just do it?? It’s not invasive in any way shape or form. Why did have such a refusal to do so?

  42. TeeBun

Steve, you have a point. Getting trespassed/arrested for trespassing is nothing like the comparison of spitting on a security cast member. That’s assault and this is being an ass.

  43. Kat

The covid restrictions are way out of hand. This is is a virus with a 99.98 recovery rate!! We have become a bunch of sheep and follow dictat0r rules.

Sounds like white privilege at its best oh rules aren’t for me oh please give me break who cares follow the rules or go home

    1. WoW

How did you come to the conclusion his color has anything to do with this? Is he a jerk? Yes! Did he feel he could ignore WDW rules? Yes! But don’t stereotype this unacceptable behavior on people of the same skin color.

  45. Disney has made it no secret what their Covid policies are. Anyone who refuses to follow the rules should just stay home! Disney has tried to make their property safe for visitors and cast members. He should be ashamed of himself for being blatantly disrespectful to the other guests.

  46. Lucky

Anyone who can defend this guests actions is an idio! Dumb and dumber!

  47. Hugh

I can understand that someone has paid over ten thousand dollars for a Disney vacation but still you got to follow the rules, no matter how money you spent on a vacation.

Dude knew what he was getting into for when he agreed to Disney’s Terms and Conditions before he even put the deposit down. So they are completely right to have him arrested for violating those T&C. If he didn’t want a temp check he shouldn’t have planned the trip there in the first place. It’s a private property so they get to choose the rules. So don’t want a temp check? Don’t go.

  49. David

People say “don’t go”. Well if enough people say that, see how fast Disney changes their rules. Disney needs the people to stay open and stay profitable otherwise they will have to answer to the stockholders.

  50. Billy Brabant

Why would anyone waste good money on A trip to Disney, invest that 15 grand, put it to much better use, do not spend it on some scum bag park, that cares nothing about you, just you green back!!

  51. Kevin

Why are so many people arguing about the mask mandate here? That’s not even the issue. In fact, if you’ve seen the body cam footage, the man is wearing a mask. He refused to follow the temperature check policy.

But whatever policy he refused to follow doesn’t really matter. Disney is legally allowed to issue these policies right now to protect their guests and cast members. He didn’t follow one. He was asked to leave and didn’t. Now he’s also trespassing. Seems plain and simple, you violate the rules, you’re gone. You don’t get to choose which you follow based on if you like them or not. And why should he get a refund? Would you argue that he should had he been caught violating Disney’s “No Shoplifting” policy?

  52. Anybody who gives even a cent to anything disney deserves to be locked away forever

    1) It’s Disney’s Park. It’s Disney’s private property. They reserve the right to set their own rules and guidelines and enforce them LIKE ALL BUSINESSES.

    2) It does matter how much or how little you spent, or how white and privileged you think you are; you must follow the rules and guidelines of the Walt Disney Company while on their property. If you refuse to comply and break the terms of the agreement, The Walt Disney Company is fully within their rights to escort you out of their property and/or ban you from returning WITHOUT a refund.

    3) ALL businesses in the United States MUST have and maintain COVID safety and cleanliness protocols in order to stay open and continue business. No exceptions. So you bet your ass that if it comes down to a business being forced to shut down over the comfort of one or a few customers, or removing a non-compliant problem customer and being able to stay open and generating revenue, you know which one a company will make.

    4) Instead of taking your anger out on the company, switch it around to the customer who was being blatantly rude and non-compliant. Law enforcement kindly asked him to leave numerous times and he refused, leading to the arrest. I know if I spent that kind of money ($15,000) on a vacation, I would be damned if I didn’t look up and follow every single rule and protocol to the letter. I wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize my vacation investment.

    5) In this singular instance, I’m on Disney’s side of the story. If you know anything about Walt Disney Theme Parks, they excel in Customer Service, Customer Experience, and People Management. The guidelines are there specifically for the safety and well-being of all guests. Furthermore, an employee or cast member not interacting with guests in an appropriate and positive manner will get you fired. I’m pretty positive the Disney park employees kindly asked Mr. Sills to please step back through the security screening and explained why they need to screen everyone (as their job depends on it). It only would have been escalated if Mr. Sills blatantly refused to comply and cooperate numerous times, and/or was being blatantly aggressive.
