Disneyland Resort is all the buzz, as Disneyland and Disney California Adventure prepare for their grand opening on April 30. Those who are heading over to Downtown Disney today may get a closer look at what is going on in front of the Disneyland entrance.
Theme park blogger Paul on Instagram — better-known as @paulsthemeparkadventures — shared a recent photo with the film crew and security overlooking the floral Mickey Disneyland entrance. So far, all we notice is equipment being set up and preparing for what might be a commercial or a new safety video for the parks.
Today he shared,
Theres filming being done in front of Disneyland
The reopening of the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks is a dream come true for many Guests who have patiently waited over a year to return. Disneyland parks will be a bit different, with new guidelines and restrictions, and only be available for California residents for now. These guidelines will include mandatory masks, social distancing, temperature checks, and limited Guest capacity.
While we cannot confirm what this filming is for, it would make sense for it to be a commercial. This could be so that Disney can pull some attention to bring a new crowd of California residents who are planning summer vacations and prefer a safe staycation. Furthermore, many guidelines that are set in Walt Disney World may be different from what Disneyland plans to do. Find all the official Disneyland reopening information here.
Again, while we cannot confirm what this filming could be for, it certainly has us excited for the reopening of Disneyland.
For now, we will curiously wait and see what becomes of this Instagram post, in hopes that Disneyland will create a new and inspiring video or commercial that will invite us back to our “Happy Place”.
