The CDC now recommends 3 foot distance. Is Disney going to change the signs on the ground?

Honestly I’ve never really been impressed with the FastPass+. I think they need to look into revamping it. While it’s nice to choose Fastpasses before arriving, it becomes hard to map out your day when trying to make other selections due to crowds. I would almost like it to be like Universal and just buy a special ticket and then just get into the FastPass line instead of coming back at a certain time. But Disney may not be able to do that due to crowds.

No no no! It’s a total money grab

Never liked fast pass, too much planning. Need to bring back new annual passes for Florida’s new residents.

The lines at Disney World run at the 90 minute wait now. This summer will get much worse. Boiling heat and kranky kids!
The fast pass allowed patrons to manage their wait times. This seems critical to minimizing disease exposure time.
Democrat Disney World is screwed up.

Agree totally except that Disney is not democratic, it’s big business, part of republicans1%. Business over what’s right for the people.

They need to Use Disneyland’s Maxpass system instead…no planning involved, hit get a FP if the return time works, if not, don’t.

They can’t really use the FP+ queues for extra standby space for a variety of reasons, some would require physical changes to the queues, but moreover the FP+ queues are used for guest recovery, DAS and Club 33 at bare minimum. There wouldn’t be a good way to handle these without the FP+ queues that would allow for maintaining social distancing.

Maybe with all lost revenue and still many hotels and on property restaurants not open Possibly they are going to have you purchase fast passes as other theme parks do Would that surprise anyone

I never really liked FastPass+. Even if you went on to schedule your passes at exactly your time, you could never really get what you wanted and running back and forth across the parks are a real pain. I hope they do away with it but keep the pass to your 1st park of the day with maybe an adjustment to noon for you to escape to another park.

I agree with all those thoughts. It’s a pain to plan and for those who stay off property I’m sure they rarely get what they want. Either a maxpass (though I’d hate to pay more) or the way Universal does it would be better. We stayed at a deluxe Universal resort in February and it included the Express pass with the resort stay. There was no way to even stay somewhere cheaper and buy those passes a la carte for a better deal. Really that meant everyone was kind of spread out everywhere-and no bouncing from one side to another. Not waiting for a assigned “block” to hit a fastpass line was freeing. I’m surprised the “powers that be” at Disney can’t figure out these simple fixes…

As a non-local, Fastpass+ is essential. WDW is a once-every-few-years trip for me, so the idea of standing in long lines is a huge turnoff. Fastpass guaranteed the ability to ride at least my top three choices with no line. Really re-thinkng my upcoming trip if FP doesn’t return. 🙁

I liked the fast pass for the same reasons @ash stated. When I was there last month I did notice they still were using the scanner. When I asked a cast member about it they said it was for Club 33 members and (true) handicapped guests.

I have no doubt that as soon as everything changed last year the Disney parks all began to address the issues of crowds. It boils down to money and ease of operations. It isn’t, as some say here, political or anti-family. It’s business.

If you think Disney isn’t far left, you need to get out of the basement.
