  1. I was hoping the article would have a side by side picture to compare. So I really can’t give an opinion. Have a magical one.

Oh, yes, clearly the Disney Imagineers were all like, “Hey, let’s stick DEAD Grandma in the Haunted House, that way 21 years AFTER the millennial, internet people will be all like, ‘ermahgerd, she really is dead!’ But not the dog; never the dog; the Carousel of Progress dog is immortal.”

My daughter got to go behind the scenes in The Haunted Mansion as part of her STEM class about 2 years ago. They mentioned the Grandmother being the same during the tour.

Yes. They are the same. Thought that was well-known. No? Well, anyway, the Behind the Scenes Tour tells you so.

Technically, Mr. Toad has a marker in the pet cemetery at Haunted Mansion. It was placed there after his ride was shut down. That would be the first connection between rides.

Post the photos side by side, don’t send me off on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.

    Seriously??? . . .

Yes, people will find the same characters throughout many of the rides. When they first imagined these attractions, the cost for the robot masks (latex masks) was quite expensive and hard to find. Disney made and kept several of the molds. No need to buy all new molds and face replacements when you only have 6-8 different characters. One good spot to compare is Carousel of Progress and Spaceship Earth. There a couple of imposters throughout Pirates too. Just takes a keen eye to spot them.

Father and daughter from Progress could be seen in Spaceship Earth in the renaissance section playing a lute (father) and a violin (daughter). Check it out on youtube.
