Beginning March 29, Guests traveling to the Magic Kingdom theme park will be unable to go to the Main Street Confectionery to get some of their favorite Disney snacks. The Main Street icon will be closed beginning March 29 for an undisclosed amount of time.
This is everything you need to know about the extended closure before your Walt Disney World vacation!
Current hours for the Confectionery are 8 a.m to 10 p.m through March 28, but hours are unavailable after that through May 22. Previously, dates could only be searched through May 9, but it appears that the refurbishment dates have since been extended.
The Main Street Confectionery is a park-goer favorite where they can purchase delicious treats like candy apples, homemade fudge, Mickey-shaped Krispie treats, chocolate-covered pineapple skewers, candy, and more.  Its enticing smell is one of the first things that Guests encounter as they walk down Main Street U.S.A.  The Walt Disney World website has the following description for the popular location:
Follow your nose inside this old-fashioned candy shop, where delightful treats including character-inspired candy apples and Mickey krispie treats are made.
While there has been no official announcement from Disney about how long the refurbishment will last, or what Guests can expect when it reopens, we know that Imagineers will spread their pixie dust and the end result will be absolutely magical.
As you can see in the image below, Guests are lining up this week to get their sweet treats before the Main Street Confectionery closes for refurbishment.
