If you don’t want to be treated like a toddler, STOP BEGGING THE GOVERNMENT TO TREAT YOU LIKE A TODDLER!!!!!

I’m NOT keeping a muzzle on for a TEN SECOND PHOTO!

Seriously, everyone is so stupid. If this were a REAL pandemic, DISNEY WOULDN’T EVEN BE OPEN AND PEOPLE COULDN’T VACATION!

Wake up and STOP your frivolous virtue signaling!

Disney just needs to make masks optional. If you feel safe wearing one, do it. If you don’t feel safe, don’t go. If you’ve had it or had the vaccine, no need for the mask!

My family and I went the end of February. We followed the rules, wore the masks the best we could. I say the best we could, because my children have autism with sensory disorders . They were constantly touching the mask on their face, which is unsafe. We tried to keep their has clean by constantly sanitizing and hand washing.
We got back home Saturday and by Sunday, my daughter was extremely ill. She had a fever from Sunday to Thursday. Had her tested for Covid and strep throat.
She caught a really bad virus at Disney, which I understand can happen, but I thought masks worked? So does the mask prevent Covid but nothing else ?
So sad to see that Disney isn’t really Autism friend any more as far as this mask wearing continues.
If you wear a mask on your face all day, you are very likely to catch some germ on it, then the germ diaper is right up on your face. Masks are not safe at all .

I wish I could hit a like button for your post. We were there in Feb/ March. I don’t have kids with autism, but I had my the year old and 1 year old, and the three year old won’t keep a mask on. The stress of dealing with him, his mask, and the workers constantly telling me to keep a mask on him was exhausting.

Each person can make their own decision to go and wear a mask (which saves no one but cleanliness does). I will return to places that want serious $$$$ when I not expected to be a puppet with a mask performing at a show. I prefer to not be part of the next health problem caused by cutting off my oxygen levels because of wearing a mask…especially for lengthy periods of time in the heat. Never wore masks during all flu seasons and 2020 flu onward I won’t. God bless everyone. B safe and make own decisions in life. Dont live by “the devil made me do it”

Follow the science or follow the scientists? If youre afraid, stay home, it’s that simple. You can live your life in fear or you can live your life. IF you want to wear a mask, then by all means go right ahead. I have done nothing different since the whole “15 days garbage” If I get it I get it. Call me whatever you want, but I find it interesting that we are suppose to follow the science yet, the science that questions the effectiveness of masks isn’t allowed. How can it be science when it can’t be questioned? Then it just become propaganda. Science used to say the world was flat, the Earth was the center of the universe and mercury was effective in fighting VD.

I don’t understand what the big deal is! People are heading to the most magical place on earth to argue and fight over wearing a mask. The children aren’t the problem either! It’s their parents trying to break the rules and cause a fuss. We have been to the parks twice since the pandemic and I was grateful to be able to go. My family has had no normalcy since this began, due to my being immunocompromised. My son hasn’t been to school, friends and family haven’t visited, etc. We chose Disney because we knew how seriously they were taking our safety! It’s a shame that bad apples have to ruin it for everyone else! Just put on the mask and don’t be a jerk! Think about others and enjoy the atmosphere of the park ❤ Putting a mask over your face won’t kill you, either comply to the rules or go somewhere else. This isn’t rocket science people!

You sound like a true liberal. Just follow the rules even if they make no sense. Listen Karen, you clearly love being told what to do. Good for you. Now stop telling others what to do.

      1. Damian Lee

You’re the Karen. This is a business that has rules in place. If you don’t like the rules, don’t go. what makes you think that your opinion gets to overrule the rules of the business establishment you are going to? You are not in charge. If you don’t like what the business is doing then by all means take your patronage somewhere that lines up with your beliefs. But don’t tell a company that their procedures don’t apply to you.

Then obviously we won’t be going anytime soon. nobody in their right mind should be going. Only a fool would be ok with photos of themselves and their family while their faces are concealed during what’s supposed to be a memorable vacation

I feel we should respect one another’s take on masks. There are facts shown that they don’t work properly and I’m sure for some they work well. To be honest though, to take your mask off for a minute to take a decent picture during a said magical experience, shouldn’t be a big deal. I believe the rules are a bit uptight. Maybe they shouldn’t have opened the parks back up if they were going to have such strict rules. It is an amusement park after all.

  9. true liberty

We had a year around pass for nearly a decade and don’t worry we won’t be spending a dime with Disney until the mask mandate is dropped. Plenty of wonderful places we have been exploring the past year wear no one bothers you about a useless mask.

This article is so one sided. There’s also a lot of people that stand on the other side. Disney has always bent and twisted rules and policies to aid with disabilities and there’s many people with disabilities that can’t wear masks that would like to go. People not only with disabilities like COPD or asthma but also people with things like epilepsy, disorders that cause fainting or paralysis that can’t remove their own masks in the event of an emergency. I truly feel masks should be encouraged but at the very least should have medical exemptions.

Just curious if we are keeping this same momentum with following rules when entering countries?

  12. Cheryl Perez

I agree if you can’t follow the simple rules don’t go. Easy peasy.

  13. Wyldewind

Wow. All these comments complaining about Disney’s rules and how cruel and “draconian” they are and not a single one of these complaining people are even considering the cast members who caught up in all of this. They don’t have a choice. Day after day, people who come to the parks and put up a fight over the masks get yelled at, cursed at, spat and and, yes, even struck. The cast members are on the front lines protecting you and making the magic despite as many as 12 hours on their feet, outside and in a mask. They smile behind that mask even though their feet ache and the thirtieth guest they’ve asked to don their mask that day holds up their empty bottle, saying, “I’m drinking.” And we’re just referring to the photographers. Stop being selfish and please try to think about the magic-makers who are trying to keep the experience safe for everyone.

I have been dieing to get out but my son has type1 diabetes and very worried about the virus so the rule is to get the vaccine then we can travel…HAPPY to say we are going to Disney at the end of May. Even though we will be vaccinated, we are still going to wear our masks! And I agree with most, if you can’t follow the rules than don’t go!!! It’s just sad that people are so selfish!

  15. Bill

You just want to complain enough to get something for free. You know the rules let’s try to figure out how to work around them so we can attract enough attention to get royal treatment for nothing. Cause you are owed it. You know who you are but rose of us that were brought up to respect rules are wrong when we speak up for doing right. DON’T GO let the rest of us enjoy or time their and not watch your whining stay at home and barbeque.

  16. Keith

    Look, it’s Disney’s property, Disney’s rules.

If you don’t agree with or won’t abide by their rules, then you don’t go.

    Simple as that.

  17. Jenn

Whether we agree or not is not the issue-clearly the country’s divided. Though I don’t think we need to eat each other alive on this thread kids.
They’ve made a mandate and it’s non-negotiable. Disney’s not a right, it’s a privilege. We can spend our money elsewhere or do what they say.
Of course people still pull them down and get too close. You aren’t gonna control all of them 100% of the time clearly. That’s everywhere I go. In knowing that also, you have a choice to NOT GO. I guess it’s just easier to complain online about it…

I have no problem with wearing a mask if required. To add to that I have the vaccine.
my problem is for my 4 year old autistic daughter with sensory issues . she can’t talk yet so explaining that she has to wear this terrible feeling thing so she can go to her favorite place in the world is impossible.
I’m sorry but we as a people should allow exceptions to this mask thing. Especially those with special needs.
