If you really loved a Disney Princess growing up, you might have been one of the lucky kids that had a Disney Princess costume to wear around the house, on Halloween, to school, etc. But, of course, as you grew up, you ended up not fitting that dress anymore. A sad moment for every Disney princess fan!
Growing up, I wasn’t one of the fortunate kids that had a Belle costume (my favorite Disney Princess), so I understand the longing for a huge puffy princess dress to run around in and twirl around in.
Rosie Somerville is a Disney lover with a passion for Disney princesses like many of us, but unlike us, she has a superpower that she decided to share with the world via her TikTok account @_valentinemoon_.
Somerville designs and creates amazing princess costumes. In her TikTok, she shows her process of creating some Disney Princess inspired ballgowns. Her work is amazing and full of magic!
So far, she has posted videos of two of Belle’s ballgowns — the beloved classic yellow gown and Belle’s Christmas dress featured in the movie Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. Additionally, she recreated Princess Aurora’s gown from the end of the film. Princess Aurora’s gown appears to be stuck in between pink and blue as seen in the final moments of Sleeping Beauty.
She has also created one Disney Villain inspired dress for Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog!
If you like her work and want to follow her on TikTok, you might just see her starting to work on another Disney Princess dress in the future.
The hope of some new dresses comes from the fact that she has posted some dress designs inspired by Princess Tiana, Ariel and Cinderella.
What did you think of Rosie’s dresses? Which one would you like to see work on next? Let us know in the comments below.
