Disney’s idea of diversity in this huge fantastic galaxy full of wonder… is making humans with different shades of skin color.

Why weren’t her “controversial” posts included in the article for context?
I am sure you would have if it was one of Gina Carano’s tweets.
How about we stop trying to ruin careers for publicly stated opinion. If they aren’t breaking laws, let people make their choices.
Leftists or conservatives, just let Star Wars be.

She makes racist tweets and gets rewarded with a show. Then Disney pretends they are against racism. What a joke

I’ve seen the tweets. If the roll was reversed and a white person said those things about blacks, that person would be arrested for a hate crime, lost their job, & completely smeared by the news. It’s time everyone stop the racist crap & make sure everything said goes both ways. Completely 1 sided and the liberal media crucifies anyone against their agenda without telling the COMPLETE story. The hate needs to stop & people shouldn’t be rewarded for it.

You seriously support this racist woman? You should feel ashamed…

I remember when Star Wars was just that without all this SJW crap and woke junk

So, it’s ok to post racist views, but not ok to post an unpopular opinion about masks. Got it. I don’t agree with it, but at least the duality has been made obvious.
To be certain, I don’t hold the same views as either, but I don’t think they should be fired as long as they keep their ignorance and jobs separate. As an adult, I’m fully capable of giving both a miss if I am uncomfortable with them. I also know a squatting position that makes it easier to put any “cancel culture” ideas up where they belong.

You are not clever but you try to be. Never trust your one sided articles. You invent a black character then marginalize him. Bodega character is not allowed to romance Ridley character. And Carano character is suddenly not included in a painting. You are still racist.

  8. Vince

You don’t allow Finn and Rey to romance and you try to phase out Carano. You are still racist.

  9. Will

You marginalize Boyega. You are trying. chirp phase out Carano. You are trying to be clever. You are not inclusive. Your articles are one sided and not inclusive. You won’t let Rey romance Finn. You are not inclusive.

Maybe you have not noticed, but people are done with the whole victim thing, the only one talking about racism, color and gender are the same people who say it does not matter. Move on!

It’s time for this crap to stop. Twitter is a cesspool and cancel culture is bad for everyone. People are entitled to believe what they want no matter how wrong or right they may be. Maybe if the media stops making racism such an issue, it won’t be one.

    Stop protecting racists.

    Stop protecting racists (2nd attempt)

Her tweets last year during the BLM riots are as racist as the opinions she says all white people have.

    This is really very simple:

    1. She made many racist statements about white people.
    2. She is a protected minority that is allowed to be racist.
    3. Disney and Lucasfilm believe they can’t get significantly hurt by defending racist statements of a protected minority, so they defend her.

Racial hatred and prejudice is wrong. She is receiving so much backlash because of her hateful tweets about white people. I wish I could tell her all white people are not racist. She seems to think so because of the racism she has suffered. Hate plus hate does not equal love and acceptance.

I read her tweets and I am pretty sure that they people commenting on here are either not reading her tweets, or are overtly racist themselves.

In one tweet she called out her issue with the idea of two white men discussing racism. Where is the lie? If you are white, you do not know the experience of being a person of color.

In another tweet she called out the complicity of a white woman, Kayleigh McEnany using the term Kung flu, which is racist against Asians.

So y’all just are complicit yourselves, and like yelling at people of color online. Good for you!!!!
