I know that this is a comment that will get me crucified, but let’s face the facts Aerosmith isn’t going to last forever. Those guys are not getting any younger and with every passing year the fantasy of going backstage to an Aerosmith concert gets less and less. So maybe in the next 10 years or so Disney needs to update it either with a new band or overhaul it by using one of their ip’s like Disneyland Paris did.

Yes, what a great comment. With lackluster, uninspirational and uncreative idea like tgat you are on a fast track to come an Imagined. Let’s just keep updating classic attractions with IP’s…hey maybe every Disney park should be exactly the sane all around the world…..come on, get a clue

For my family this is the best ride at HS. You cannot even get on the Star Wars rides. We tried to get a boarding pass for the ride right at 7:00 and couldn’t get on. And again at 2:00 and the same thing happened. And smugglers run wasn’t that great of a ride to wait as long as we did.

Hi Ms. Sandra. We learned something New on our annual Christmas visit. We got this information from a Cast Member at Hollywood Studios. When trying to get a boarding pass turn OFF the Disney wifi and use your phones data. Worked Great! Bam got a boarding pass. Try it next visit.

Oh Please it isn’t about Aerosmith it is about the ride. One of the best in my opinion.

Aerosmith WILL last forever as their music is timeless. The fantasy of going backstage with Aerosmith is exactly that: a fantasy. Fantasies never die. Fact is Disney no longer wants to pay Aerosmith royalties to endorse their ride. Too bad.

Rag Doll isn’t on the ride, just sayin’

I love the ride and would be sad to see it go. We make it a point to go every time, no matter how long the wait is. It’s not about the fantasy of going back stage. I didn’t grow up with Aerosmith, but I can still appreciate the songs and like it.

I have been riding that ride since the first year it opened–My Favorite at Disney World

Maybe it could be turned into more of a theme devoted to the genre of rock as opposed to being simply Aerosmith? I dig the ride itself; being in Florida riding the freeways that I drive here at home in SoCal is cool and surreal!

You ever listen to the lyrics to Walk This Way? Not exactly Disney friendly and perhaps the raunchiest lyrics in a R&R song in the last 50 years

  9. This was the first rollercoaster I took my daughter on back in 2004. It was open only on one of the days we had reservations for studios. Sorry I didn’t know they were going to shut it down for days. I read the issue was the launch that propels riders. We all agree that the launch in important. I wouldn’t want to be stuck upside down. I know it won’t last forever. Someday, Disney will reimagine this ride.

I feel like the easy answer is redesign the ride so that it’s Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. And then get rid of Muppets 3D or change it to something else. 2 aged birds, one stone.

When we were on our VIP Tour last year, our guide advised us that Disney was planning on changing the ride to Queen. Albeit this was pre-COVID and contingent on external funding, but the thought of it is cool!

One of my favorite attractions. I think it would be cool to change it to Queen. Rotating out different bands every 10 years would be cool. I love the rock studio theme. I’d hate to see it change to a Marvel theme which would inevitably cause a change to ToT.

We go to Walt Disney World Christmas Week every year and we safely went this year as well. I noticed one thing this year in The Haunted Mansion. It was darker during the ride through this year. It was not like it was before. It was very hard to see some of things because of this and we went through it several times this visit and it was the same each time. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this?

the best idea would be to theme it to guardians of the galaxy’s mixtapes and make the ride all GotG themed.

The one attraction I so looked forward to riding was the Aerosmith Rock’ n Roller Coaster. Sadly, the story line was removed, and the coaster modified with signs like WHAM! BANG! in iridescent colors. Looked more like it was Batman themed. It became a clone to the many coasters scattered through their parks. The identity was lost. Tower of Terror drastically reduced the story line and images to just a fraction of what they were. Overall, they seemed to drop the adult edge to Hollywood Studios and made it, well, just another forgettable experience.
