  1. Disney

    What’s unrealistic about her hair?

    1. It’s almost like it’s a cartoon and it’s not supposed to be realistic.

      1. Kim Gill

It’s a cartoon ffs… Stop with this being offended at every damn turn nonsense…

      2. Jack

Everyone’s all cought up in how this cartoon women is drawn misproportioned, when the main guy is not only more of a stick figure but but literally has a block head. Name one real human who has a block head.

      3. Chet

It’s a cartoon, bugs bunny doesn’t look like a real rabbit either.

  2. Evidently most have forgotten the real world people actually getting these butt implants. Not real? Really ?

    1. Phillip

Could’ve gave her more than some mosquito bites.

      1. Alice Hart

        It’s a flipping CARTOON!
        Ugh.

    2. Joe

Wtf? Like two years ago unrealistic beauty standards were supermodels, now it’s a big butt? We used to to just call that pear shaped. Knew lots of girls that were thicc, not like that but cartoons always overshoot and… It’s a cartoon! I wanted to look like batman when I was little. Grow up. I’m only 35. My peers write this garbage and it’s ridiculous. Find a worthwhile journalistic endeavor rather complain about a cartoon butt you absolute fool. Be useful.

      1. David J Mayberry

If this is the biggest problem you have today you live a privileged life.

      2. Lisa Arthur

Wish the cry babies would get a LIFE. If you cannot handle silly cartoons then I truly feel you need to stay in your safe space forever and leave the living to adults that dont get carried away with nonsense. Get a friggin job and life hey.

    3. David J Mayberry

If this is the biggest problem you have today you live a privileged life.

      1. Johnny Appleseed

I don’t think anyone is making it out to be the biggest problem they have. Incase you haven’t learned yet, but people do actually have opinions on things, and online sharing them is incredibly easy. So while their distaste for something may come off to you as their biggest problem today it’s probably just them talking about something they don’t like

      2. Scott

RU kidding? There’s a lot of SJW’s who have too much free time on their hands. Yes, the pandemic can be blamed, but please look for something worthwhile.

        1. Tori

It’s funny my mom’s best friend body was shaped just like that when I was younger all bodies are different . People will literally find anything to complain about. How dumb.

    4. Rill

It’s only an issue when people decide that that is what a woman should look like. Besides that though, do whatever the hell you want

  3. Christopher Gagnon

Who decides creative expression but the creator?!

  4. Donald VanBuren

It’s. a. c.a.r.t.o.o.n… it’s not meant to be realistic, it’s meant to be funny or show morals or feelings…for real, how realistic is “inside out” for crying out loud. Sheesh…?

    1. Kim Gill

      Exactly

  5. It is just a cartoon for kids what is the big deal? It is to show kids that people come in all shapes and sizes, and that it is okay to be different. Not to follow everyone else but do your own thing. Also if this is how they defined their character than their expressing their own creativity. I am proud of Disney for doing their own thing and teaching kids that everyone is different. To be themselves not to copy everyone else otherwise it would be a pretty boring world.

  6. Chris

It’s a cartoon. Nobody in the real world cares.

  7. Lou

Come on get real. I can see that you all haven’t been in Georgia lately. That body type is common in Atlanta.

  8. Nancy Zacherl

even if it is a cartoon it’s not nice or funny.

    1. Marcelo Dantas

      I totally agree.
And others like “The Croods” and “The Incredibles” should follow.
They should all be removed too.
      And #FireGinaCarono

      1. Georga

For what? Showing women who aren’t just skinny. Really great message. Saying “hey if you’re not tiny then you’re irrelevant and not real” oh wait that’s just American Beauty standards.

      2. Scott

        Grow up.

      3. Mike Forge

seriously grow up…. you gonna fire everyone with creative differences?
next you’ll want the creators of robin hood to make the foxes realistic….

    2. Rich

Calm down snowflake. The world doesn’t have to comply with your realm of sensitivity.

      1. If this is the biggest problem you have today you live a privileged life.

        1. Mike Freeland

Absurd take. One of the reasons there is such a huge divide in America is nonsense like this. Outrage culture will continue to drive people to the right. Dangerous stuff.

  9. Tabi

You didn’t need to spoil the ending in the article.

  10. Becker

Obviously these people have never been to miami and it’s beaches !!
My wife is cuban and the only difference between this cartoon and my wife is the hair color and my wife has huge breast!!

    1. Kidd

      Just one though?!?

      1. Rachel Walters

If that’s all you took home from the short, you’ve obviously missed the point….and nobody mentioning the obvious white-knighting in the original post? really? Nobody thinks you’re woke and sensitive for pointing out how much you noticed the sweet girl with the wide hips, bud….

        1. Johnny Appleseed

You just blow in from stupid town?
The guy you replied to said “Just one though?!?” In response to when the guy he replied to said “my wife has huge breast.”. Since generally you have 2 breasts per person

      2. Johnny Appleseed

Hey Rachel Walters you just blow in from stupid town? Kidd said “just one though?!?” In response to Becker saying “my wife has huge breast.” Asking the question, does your wife only have one breast? Kidd wasn’t commenting on what he took from the short. Please use your brain next time.

    2. Jerry

Could you upload a pic of your wife, just to know that you’re not liying? ?

  11. Jesus Salinas

I know three ladies that look like that. Are these people discriminating against ladies that look like her? One day Disney’s going to have to tell them to suck it up. We’re getting to the point were absolutely everything is offensive, and everyone’s a victim.

  12. Joe

Looks just like Kim Kardashian, Niki Minaj, and Cardi B’s body shape

    1. Quavo

All 3 of them are the problem today all faked out. Butt implants, lazering fat, fillers, injections…etc. bc of them every girl and woman wants to be tiny tiny waist and huge beyond huge unrealistic a$$.

  13. Kollin Holtz

Good job by the itty-bitty PR committee manufacturing a story from Twitter accounts no one follows and trying to create outrage. Welcome to insidious advertising at its best.

  14. BigBooty

I’ve seen this body type a lot at Walmart and at the parks too in the scooters. The butt overflows

  15. Cit

People need to get some lives.

  16. Sarah

Social. Media. Is. NOT. NEWS. Imagine asking a bunch of kids for a rundown of the daily news and reporting THAT instead of going after the news yourself. That is what you are doing when you report on social media. Even my middle school newspaper didn’t allow this bs. Seriously considering blocking ITM from my home feed if you can’t take your own news site seriously….

    1. Sadly, though, the newspaper at Eastern Michigan University did exactly that, reposting a bunch of slanderous Facebook posts about a local business and calling it an article. This is apparently what journalism is in this brave new world of idiocracy, brace yourself.

  17. Vivian

They do realize the short came out four years ago, right?

  18. Jarron

    Lemybeauty.
    Instagram. Look her up.

  19. Patrick

    But wall-e was different?

  20. Jarron

She is shaped like Lemybeauty from IG.

    1. Daniel

Lemybeauty is obviously a cartoon while this is real life though.

  21. JJ42

I have seen many women with a similar build, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean its unrealistic.

  22. Dale427

This pandemic has gone on too long. These people need to get a life! It’s a CARTOON!

  23. EricJ

    Wait, a GUY posted that?
I thought female viewers were the ones who think that everything that happens in a TV show or movie is “real” and meant to be some lecture or indoctrinated message about society, thus negatively influencing our children about what body image “should” look like!

(Darn, and here I’ve spent years trying to work up that Mr. Incredible figure because I was made to feel inadequate…) 😉

  24. M-Clost

Anybody who complains about a cartoon drawing should have a look at Barbie!

    1. JJ

Why? Barbie looks realistic compared to this.

  25. Rebecca L Hammond

I hope no one told Barbie. She and Ken would be crushed.

  26. Jay

    Simply amazing!!!
this so-called “cancel” culture needs to get canceled themselves. it’s a freaking CARTOON!!!!

  27. Austin

I’m especially disappointed that the protagonist in this short film has a square head! This film discriminates against people with round heads

  28. C Fri

I have a cousin with these proportions, if not bigger.

Stop complaining about a world you’ve never seen.

  29. Tev

Are they body shaming a cartoon?

  30. Joy

I am in my sixties and I am so tired of people nitpicking at every little thing and finding something that offends them. You know what then…don’t watch it. What ever happened to people’s sense of humor? Geez get over yourselves. It’s a cartoon.

  31. Samuel G Alterio

Why is no one offended by the guy’s square head? Is it only women they’re offended over? That’s sexist!

    1. Quavo

By the Guys square head is not what turns people on. A big a$$ and a tiny waist is what boys and men get hard for lol don’t pretend. It is hypersexulization and obviously this trend continues and we see more and more women going to LENGTHS to get this body

  32. Memyselfni

Adults tend to forget that cartoon are for kids. I guarantee no child is complaining about a woman with a big booty on the screen for like 5 seconds.

  33. Sadly, though, the newspaper at Eastern Michigan University did exactly that, reposting a bunch of slanderous Facebook posts about a local business and calling it an article. This is apparently what journalism is in this brave new world of idiocracy, brace yourself.

  34. Georga

For what? Showing women who aren’t just skinny. Really great message. Saying “hey if you’re not tiny then you’re irrelevant and not real” oh wait that’s just American Beauty standards.

  35. Abraham Sussman

You are entitled to think what you like. Art causes discussion. Discussion leads to thought.

    1. Peter Brown

      Exactly, and Thank You!

  36. Sandy Bear

It’s a cartoon. Everything is exaggerated!! The Twitter Mob has no sense of humor, or life for that matter. If you have to find things 5, 10, 15 years ago to complain about…cancel the cancel culture cult!!

  37. Chris

It’s hilarious to see these Twitter junkies lose their collective hive minds over things like this oh no a cartoon has triggered your fragile minds whatever shall you do. Oh I know REEEEEEEE hissy fits and whining oh that’s not how women look what nothing about anything else lol. Poor fragile children their parents shouldn’t allow them internet access.

  38. Larry

I see women like that on TV, at the gym, grocery shopping…yeah, come to think of it. All those women need to stop doing that. It’s so unrealistic. Oh but great job Disney. With the current society and since the Kardashians, you couldn’t be more accurate.

    1. Lori

GO SIT DOWN SOMEWHERE!!! It is a CARTOON!!!! If you’re offended…….too bad!!! WATCH
      SOMETHING ELSE!!

    2. Quavo

      Exactly

  39. LJ

Thank God this came along otherwise people have to find something else to be upset about. Something that was actually worth being upset about.

  40. Kel

If you think this is not a real body type, then you haven’t seen many people of different shapes.

  41. Nicholas Butler

Everyone in this cartoon had unrealistic body proportions. Because they’re cartoons. Cartoons are unrealistic.

  42. Nick B

Everyone in this cartoon had unrealistic body proportions. Because they’re cartoons. Cartoons are unrealistic.

  43. Michael Paul Scott

Who cares it is a cartoon and CARTOONS ARE NOT REAL…… And guess what the House with Mouse has always made cartoons end of story!

  44. Peter Brown

This entire ‘controversy’ is nonsense. Not only is every character in the short drawn with various exaggerated features, the final ‘style’ is cohesive, and most of all, FUN. To those invested in arguing about this… GET A LIFE!

  45. Han

Any complaints about the unrealistic male bodies? No?? This is a cartoon. Nobody has a cartoon body. It isn’t supposed to be taken literally. If anyone does take it literally, they have some other issues that need to be worked through.

  46. Shane Davis

I love that we as a people are demanding our cartoons be more realistic. How dare a cartoon exaggerate anything. May we also demand all cartoon animals stop talking? Its just not accurate. I’d hate for my dog to feel inferior

  47. Ekener

Butthurt much? Things are so outta control these days. Go cry somewhere else. Cartoons have been this way forever.

  48. Hoby

If that was the only character with cartoony proportions then there would be something to it but the whole short appears to be filled with equally exaggerated characters. They also don’t appear to be forcing a particular body ideal, which Disney princesses have certainly been guilty of. I don’t think there’s an issue to be taken in this case.

  49. Zee

It is just a cartoon. It is not real. As for the comment of where here organ are. She has none, she is not real. The guy’s head is squared but you’re worried about how she looks. People are overreacting on every little thing. If you don’t like it don’t watch it.

  50. Kyt

I’m not going to worry about a gamer tweeting about the lack of female anatomy realism in a Pixar short

  51. Steve

Don’t parents teach kids that cartoons / tv are not real? I’m pretty sure mine told me that tv was entertainment only – not reality…

  52. PLEASE we all know who this character is made like MRS KIM KARDASHIAN. Her and her disproportionate body. She looks REDICULOUS and so does this character.

  53. Q

Why is everyone so mad about a cartoon like clearly it’s fake. I’m 16 and I want to know why everyone is offended, I can see that the body is non realistic but you guys can’t really be that soft that a cartoon hurts your feelings

  54. Jason

So it’s taken the Cancel Culture, snowflake, millennial, or whatever community you want to call out 4 years to finally getting around to complain about cartoon character proportions. In today’s world it’s not overly surprising unfortunately as this group feels so entitled that they’ll pick up anything from years gone by and demand it’s changed to suite their overly sensitive view on how the world should be and how their hyper sensitive view is all that apparently matters. God help us as more of these people find their way in to influential places within society.

  55. Normal

This is about as stupid a fat people saying being fat is healthy. How self absorbed do you have to be to immediately condemn everything you don’t like because it makes you feel fat? If you don’t want to be fat, lose weight. Cartoons can be anything they want, they’re cartoons. If you want to complain about stuff like this, then why is virtually every TV reality show still showing? To those complaining, go for a freaking walk and stop eating trash.

  56. katy

it’s a cartoon! it’s made to be fun, not exact science. and ps there are women that look like that out in the world. people come in all shapes and sizes, and so do their hair. if this is all someone has to complain about then they must not have real issues in life

  57. Tim

It’s a cartoon and not meant to be realistic or mirror real life. Cartoons aka fiction, are meant to distract us from the real world in most cases. I know we could all use a break right??? Good grief!

  58. Get over it people… its a cartoon. What’s the next target Micky and Minnie Mouse with human hands and feet? Maybe the 7 Dwarfs in Snow White or perhaps how Cruella Deville is portrayed? This is an example of Political correctness running amok.

  59. Omar Carter

The fact that people actually take offense to a cartoon shows how self continuous a lot of women are now a days ? because I guarantee most women that either don’t got kids or either or just don’t like their body type…are the one that made Disney feel like they had to change the characters…that’s just self consciousness

  60. Brandon

    Damn she hella Thicc tho.

  61. Ash

It’s a cartoon it’s not meant to look realistic

  62. Kristen Durant

I don’t get what the problem is here. Stop complaining. It’s a cartoon for peat sakes. I’m pretty besides “this cartoon” there’s others.. that look oddly weird. Who cares!! It’s a CARTOOON!!?? & why is it NO ONE could recognize this back when the movie came out? It’s funny how covid is here, and everything little detail (that has been here) now someone wants to bring it to the front and complain about it. Stop making it a big deal. Sheesh.

  63. Gary DiLello

Who cares the more people who complain the past Never think of the future As if they don’t want one This attack on our past mistakes just showing our young how shallow and nothing you want them to be So sad

  64. Dan

characters arent allowed to be be unique i guess >~> the moment one is different people go haywire, there can be a character with a different body than some in a cartoon. the world isnt grey!!

  65. Bella

It’s a Cartoon…leave it to the PC police to ruin everything.

  66. Cindy-y

Come on people, really?? It’s a cartoon for God’s sake!! This is not real life!!

  67. I know lots of women who have this body type… Whats the prob???

  68. Gale

While I do think people overreacted to this, I will say that the character design is… ugly. It just looks gross and very unappealing, at least to me.

But yeah, people throw a big fit when a major corporation like Disney draws people like this, but when some Twitter/Tumblr artist does it, it’s ‘stylized and cute and sexy.’ Totally fine, then. Lol.
