For many around the world, we are all currently undergoing a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, which has unfortunately hit hard on Disneyland once again.

Disneyland Resort has not opened their parks — Disneyland, and Disney California Adventure — since March leaving only Downtown Disney opened for Guests. The lengthy closure of the theme parks forced Disney to lay off many employees, and Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro even placed heavy blame on Governor Newsom and California with the belief that a reopening would have saved many jobs.
It is important to note that although Disneyland passed health and safety inspections by the state with flying colors, Newsom still will not allow the theme park to open until it’s in Tier 4. Since it is still in Tier 1, and a stay-at-home order has just gone out, it may be a while until things feel a little more normal.
Even with the closures, it seems Disney is doing their best to keep Guests coming. The Disney Parks Blog site states:

If you want to visit Downtown Disney soon, the hours run 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, but please remember that you cannot eat while you are there, even if you have take out! All of this is subject to change, so be sure to check out the website before you visit for the most up to date information.
