I’m down with this idea, especially if the big part of the story is the movie version of the Darth Plagius book. If that’s the case, order 66 would be a coda to “the rise of Palpatine”. What I really want to see however, is a standalone Darth Vader film/TV show that delves into his relationship with Palpatine. It could take place over a very short period of time. Include Vader hunting down jedi or padawans left from order 66 and also have Palpatine training sith assassin’s on the side (with the promise of becoming an apprentice) to test Vader, if not out right kill him. Vader could spend the majority of the film either hunting jedi or fending off assassination attempts. At the same time Vader could be training his own apprentice with the desire to kill Palpatine and take over. Seems like an opportunity for “rogue one” level lightsaber action and we get to see Vader and Palpatine at his peak darkside power.
