Yesterday, Disney celebrated the first anniversary of Disney’s Riviera Resort and did so with style by unveiling a huge LEGO replica of the hotel.
Despite a few teething issues that the resort had when it first opened, Disney’s Riviera Resort has gone on to become beloved by fans and has been a great addition for those who are Disney Vacation Club Members.
LEGO Master model builders spent over 300 hours designing and assembling the model of the hotel for the resort’s anniversary. The model itself weighs 100 pounds and contains over 45,000 different LEGO parts. The model includes many features of the hotel that guests will instantly recognize. These include:
- Disney Skyliner transportation system
- Disney’s Riviera Resort pool and waterslide
- The signature “RR” monogram

Mickey and Minnie Mouse were there for the grand unveiling of the model, which you can see in the following video:
We know that many of you won’t be returning to Walt Disney World this side of Christmas to see this amazing LEGO model, so we are pleased to report that this model will be moving to the Disney Vacation Club kiosk at Disney Springs Marketplace where it will remain on display through to the end of 2021.
This makes a lot of sense given that 2021 also marks the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Vacation Club!
