One of the most exciting things that go into planning your next Disney visit is staring at all of the menus and deciding what food items you want to eat! At Disney World, the theme parks have excellent options, but Disney Springs, in my opinion, is the ultimate foodie heaven.

From full meals to snacks, from table service to quick service, Disney Springs has it all! Now, a new sweet treat location has soft-opened, and it’s causing Guests to wait over three hours just to try some of their melt in your mouth cookies.

If you think that three hours is a little excessive, imagine this: a warm, soft, half-pound cookie that easily breaks apart in your mouth. The milk chocolate chips are slightly melted and mix into the gooey cookie dough on every single bite. Before you can even take another bite, the aroma of the cookie fills your nose with a sweet, warm rush, and then you get to do it all over again. If your mouth isn’t watering yet… well… then you have much stronger willpower than me.

Gideon’s Bakehouse has officially soft-opened in Disney Springs, and cookie fans everywhere are going insane. How The Jake Stole Christmas (@ThatJakeKid91) posted about what it is like waiting in line at Gideon’s this morning.

We’re in line to get a virtual reservation for Gideon’s this morning at Springs. They’re handing out Krampus and Santa menus!

FYI, 3 hour wait. Not sure how long it is now

Thrill Geek (@thrillgeek) also posted a photo of the massive lines of Guests wait to get their cookie at Disney Springs this morning.

It looks like the line is not only approximating 3 hours but after your wait, you are not even at cookie-eating time! That three-hour wait is just to secure a virtual reservation. And once you have that, you will be able to order your heavenly clouds of cookies. Lucky for Guests, Gideon’s is handing out some light reading material while in line (AKA their menu), just to tease Guests on the cookie journey they are about to experience.

Prior to this, the only way to get a Gideon’s Bakehouse cookie on Disney property was by heading to The Polite Pig in Disney Springs, which had a small shipment coming in daily, and the cookies sold out almost instantly. The cookies and cakes available at Gideon’s are all homemade, and if you want my recommendation, I say go for the classic Original Chocolate Chip or Cookies & Cream options. Here’s to hoping more locations become available (Magic Kingdom, I’m looking at you).

It’s currently one of Disney World’s busiest weeks with Christmas around the corner, so hopefully, Guests will not always need to wait hours to try these delicious offerings!
