It makes sense to include movies released exclusively to streaming services this year, due to what’s going on. As for what may happen with Mulan and Soul, Soul will get a Best Animated Feature nomination, that I have no doubt about. Mulan on the other hand will not get many nominations, it may get costume, but I don’t think it will get many nods as it is a remake, and people expected the remakes of Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King to get a number of nominations but they only got one or two. I have my own thoughts about Mulan, but based on how the Academy usually nominate that’s what I expect.
