Hong Kong Disneyland celebrated it’s 15th Anniversary on September 12, 2020 and, while  fans wanted to celebrate with them, the coronavirus pandemic made that challenging. Following a lengthy delay — and two COVID-19 closures — 15th Anniversary Celebration decorations have finally been installed at Hong Kong Dinseyland!

It has been a difficult year for theme parks all around the world as they grapple with the coronavirus pandemic and Hong Kong was certainly not immune to troubles during the pandemic. As we mentioned, they have closed, reopened, closed, and reopened again.

But now, Hong Kong Disneyland is open and it is ready to celebrate its big milestone with Guests!

Thanks to photos from Hong Kong Disneyland Guest @hkdlfantasy we get a great look at the decorations that have been placed around the park in preparation for the anniversary celebration.

We love the whimsical theme for this anniversary!

We also cannot wait to see the new Castle of Magical Dreams that Hong Kong has been working diligently on, the castle is set to have a grand opening on November 21st, 2020. You can read more information about the Castle of Magical Dreams and see photos and video of the new castle here.

Here is what Hong Kong Disneyland had to say about their 15th-anniversary celebrations:

Starting November 21, 2020, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will enter a magical milestone, as it officially celebrates its 15th anniversary with the opening of the reimagined castle – the Castle of Magical Dreams. On the same day, the resort’s “A Disney Christmas special event will kick-start to bring double the happiness to guests.

To celebrate the park’s 15th birthday celebration, guests can gather even more joy and wonders at the entrance of the park with a limited edition 15th anniversary-themed button, which will be distributed to guests on November 21, while supplies last.
Fireworks have also been tested at the resort so we will have to wait and see if they bring the fireworks to Guests for the anniversary! Hong Kong Disney has not confirmed this, but a fan can dream right?
We cannot wait to see what exciting offerings for Guests will become available during this celebration!
