Recently we announced that the Disneyland Resort’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be reopening up its villas for Disney Vacation Club members!

This is a very big deal as it is the first hotel to provide lodging on property since the Disneyland Resort closed back in mid-March. For eight months, the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort (Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa) have been closed.

Starting December 6th, the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be open. However, the hotel will only be offering a limited amount of services. Thanks to DVCNews, we have learned exactly what the resort will be offering in terms of services, retail, and dining.

The Disneyland Resort has confirmed that the hotel’s dining spots will be closed. This includes the following: Storyteller’s Café, Napa Rose, Hearthstone Lounge, and the Grand Californian Hotel Craftsman Bar & Grill. Unfortunately, this means in-room dining will not be available as well. But keep in mind that dining will be available at Downtown Disney and Buena Vista Street inside Disney California Adventure.

The Tenaya Stone Spa will be closed and will not be offering any of its services. However, the Eureka Fitness Center will be open and operate under a limited capacity. Also, out of the three pools on property, only the Mariposa Pool and its hot tubs will be open and available to DVC members. The Mariposa Pool will be open at a limited capacity and with social distancing measures in place.

When it comes to retail, Acorn Gifts & Goods will not be available at the time of reopening. However, the hotel is surrounded by the Downtown Disney District which has plenty of retail shops available for Guests.

In addition, the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will not have valet, dry-cleaning, or Disney Floral & Gift services available upon reopening.

It is important to remember that at this time the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is only offering its villas for DVC members only.
