In retrospect now that we have the sequel trilogy closed his vision actually flows with the events of stars wars more than the out of nowhere gaping plot holes we got that need to be explained via comic books that not everyone reads. A villain that didn’t come out of nowhere, a vision of rebuilding the future of the republic and Jedi (hopefully Luke learning from past mistakes to not meet the same fate) it all sounded great what a missed opportunity how sad.

Wasn’t there also a subplot where the Jedi were going to explore the whole idea of Midichlorian-based Force in DETAIL?

Would have loved to see Lucas’s dream worked out film. Sadly it will never happen.
