Many businesses have suffered due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Retailers at Walt Disney World’s shopping and dining district, Disney Springs, were also impacted.
Disney Springs has seen retailers close their doors as a result. TUMI, The VOID, and Lucky Brand have closed their doors permanently.
These stores held prime real estate locations at Disney Springs and no word on what will go into those locations as of yet.
There was also some confusion over Wolfgang Puck Express, it has also closed but the closure may be temporary. You can read all the details on that here.
It is so unfortunate that we are not going to be able to visit these stores and experiences at Disney Springs. However, as retailers close, retailers open and there is a lot to look forward to at Disney Springs.
Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew will be opening soon at Disney Springs, bringing over the top donuts and delicious cold brew to Guests.
The M&M World store is currently under construction and though it suffered delays due to the pandemic, should be opening soon at Disney Springs.
And, Gideon’s Bakehouse will be bringing its famous half-pound cookies to those of us with a major sweet tooth later on this year. We have photos of the ongoing construction of Gideon’s Bakehouse and more detail on the sweet shop that you can read here.
Recent opening at Disney Springs includes Ron Jon, LovePop, and Lululemon. So while there is not an interactive experience to replace to VR adventure that The VOID brought to Guests, there is plenty of shopping and dining to entertain you on your next visit.
