Today, Disneyland Resort has reopened Buena Vista Street for Guests to enjoy shopping and dining. Located at Disney’s California Adventure, we are not surprised that this has drawn massive crowds for the reopening as Disneyland has remained closed for the past eight months.
Nearly three hours before Buena Vista Street opened to Guests, lines were already beginning to form. Our reporters were able to snap pictures to share with you! Due to the number of guests that lined up, our reporter confirmed the Simba parking lot at Downtown Disney was opened nearly an hour early at 9 am instead of 9:45 am.

As you can see Disneyland is taking the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members very seriously during this reopening. Plenty of social distancing markers can be seen on the ground helping people maintain space apart while in line. Also, Disney has been very strict about their mask rules across all theme parks that they have reopened.

Despite being long, the line to enter was seemed to be calm, controlled, and everyone had plenty of space.

Here is a look inside of Disney’s California Adventure for the first time in 8 months. We are so excited! As you can see that they are keeping capacity very limited despite having a long wait to get in. It looks EMPTY inside of Buena Vista Street this morning.

A report from Dateline Disney on Twitter states that’s once the waitlist is full Disney will close the waitlist. Today the waitlist was at five hours and they stopped letting Guests join the list. Something that is good to note for your visit, Even if you are not going on a weekend it is a good idea to cme earlier rather than later to ensure you get a spot on the list.
Buena Vista Street entry waitlist is now closed on its first day of reopening. The current wait list has hit 5 hours and Disney is not allowing any more parties to join the wait list. Downtown Disney closes at 8 pm tonight.
