Disney tried this back when DLR first opened and none of the Fantasyland rides had their titular characters. Walt wanted people to feel that they WERE the main character. Sadly it didn’t work then and honestly its not working here. If someone wanted to enter the world of Star Wars they want to go to someplace familiar to them; Tattooine, Hoth, Forest Moon of Endor ect…Plus its better for marketing purposes to actually enter a world they know from Star Wars rather than bank on a generic idea. If they wanted to introduce Batu, do it in the movies.
Batu was actually referenced in star wars resistance (Yes, this counts. It is canon). In season 2 episode 16 when kaz is leaving the colossus, he says that he is meeting a resistance friend at a rendezvous point near Batu. This occurs about 5 minutes into the episode. Other than that, I have not heard anything in another movie or TV show
Comments for Why Hasn’t Batuu Appeared in a ‘Star Wars’ Movie or Series?
