My side of the family lives in NY and I am in MD. My mom is in her eighties and telephoning would definitely take a backseat to actually going to see her. I know this doesn’t sound much as if it has anything to do with California’s hesitation to open up, but whether people want to be with their loved ones – or with beloved characters in a fantastic and extremely safe and protective environment (Disney DOES do it right, folks!) the two do share a commonality of purpose – making memories that will last beyond COVID bad dreams. After all, the real life villain in this story is COVID – let us all hope this bad dream will end sooner rather than later.
Have any of you been to Disney world and seen how wonderful they are “dealing” with the covid issue? It can be handled properly. The governor of california chooses not to handle it bc he is a communist. I just don’t understand how Florida can open but california is making excuses. ?
For Newsom is all about the power he has gained. If any elected official was really considering the science they would see that covid19 has a 98% recovery rate. For the unfortunate that have past away it is 1/10th of less than 1% of the population. Cases ONLY indicate positives; it does not indicate how many really got sick, needed hospitalization and/or died. It is time for us to just reopen without his help. Also, NOTE this, Newsom’s personal vineyard never closed and has been open to the public for business.
I believe WDW is proof that Disney Parks can be open safely. Newsom can see for himself that since reopening, WDW has not seen an outbreak of Covid in four months! He is on a power trip and Disney and other businesses hindered by his policy should be sued! He should be taking WDW model and have everyone model their reopening the same.
