Disney’s laying off by the thousands, but yet has money to do something this senseless. Is this change really worth it? Ridiculous!!!

Was this really necessary? Bring back cast members. This is just wasting money. How many people really care what the sign says, or even notice it?

    2. Nick

Disney is ass backwards on that one. Forty nine years ago is when that sign should have been hung. And back then it would have been true.
      But ot today.
The wonderful, magical place that opened in 1971 slowly evolved into a soulless uncaring mega-money making machine.
It squeezes every penny it can out of its guest, while chewing up and spitting out employees by the hundreds.

They might as well change the signage, no more dreams, cost too much.

  3. Looks like a cheap knockoff. No castle, no stand out colors. The columns are bland looking and the color behind Mickey and Minnie have lost there sparkle. Other them that its fantastic. Where dreams come true is also much better. Did they let Universal design it. Lately disney has been a bust on new things

I agree. Disney has lost its sparkle. It used to be the most magical place. They dont care about their guests anymore. As you say there was nothing wrong with the old sign and they could of used the money to take better care of their staff. After 12 years of visiting we have to think is it still worth it? Very sad.

  5. Dottie

Why? It is no longer magical.

If you’re an executive it sure is!

    Most expensive place on earth

This looks awful! What are they thinking? If you gotta change the motto, why not do so while keeping the entrance the way it is? No sparkle, no magical entrance that we all swoon over when we enter WDW! YUCK!

So on a more positive note I liked the older version. It was about me. This one is about Disney. Hey I’m the customer…its about me.

Separately, if there is nothing constructive to say, keep your mouth shut.

Disney thinks its business is magical? Disney: “Here’s your walking papers. Make a wish that you find another job soon.”

Welcome to the most expensive place on earth where we laid off everyone who actually made it magical so that we can give bonuses to our greedy executives! Honestly by far the worst thing they could have done after laying off people just tasteless and disrespectful, I’ll stick to Universal from now on, not renewing my annual pass nor shopping anything Disney honestly people should boycott it!

So Disney sold to Six Flags and the combined entity is Nine Flags over Florida?

I’m with everyone else, not needed and tone deaf.

      (Oh, not you, too–
Does ANYONE, including the company, know how the original Six Flags Over Texas got its name??)

Am I the only one who think this article says the opposite of the quotes Disney press release is italicized font?

  13. Sherri

The Disney family doesn’t even own Disneyland or Disney world anymore. It really after they sold it. So sad ?.

  14. Disney should dump the Micky and Minnie Mouse characters on their entranceway and replace them with Scrooge McDuck. A day at their park is budget busting.
