Pixar’s ‘Soul’ Gets 100% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes

Disney and Pixar’s most highly anticipated new film Soul is skipping theaters and heading straight to Disney+ this Christmas!

Although not viewed by Pixar fans yet, critics have gotten an exclusive first look and are seemingly very impressed. Soul has already received a 100% fresh rating on the Rotten Tomatoes site. This is a very high honor when it comes to film critique.

Disney and Pixar’s Soul only has 14 reviews so far. However, due to the positivity surrounding the film, it’s safe to say that Soul could and quite possibly will maintain high ratings.

Not many Disney or Pixar movies reach a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Currently, other than Soul, Pixar’s Toy Story and Toy Story 2 currently hold 100% positive ratings. Finding Nemo holds that second place spot with a 99% rating.

As for the Disney animated films, Pinocchio and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh both hold 100% positive ratings. In the Disney animated second place spot is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at 98%.

It’s safe to say that Disney Pixar’s Soul will be in some great company with the high markings it’s already receiving! And from what we’ve learned so far about the film, it is greatly deserved. This is a family-friendly film that dares to answer some of life’s biggest questions.

Pixar Animation Studios’ all-new feature film “Soul” introduces Joe Gardner (voice of Jamie Foxx) – a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22 (voice of Tina Fey), who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life’s most important questions.
