There seems to be a pattern here and is very similar to the problems Disney had in Anaheim where they had, for years, basically the green light to build a new parking structure on the east side of the park with a pedestrian bridge going over Harbor Blvd. (and not to mention the several opportunities they had to buy the ailing Garden Walk center).
They wait way too long sometimes and let these opportunities slip away. When it comes to getting more land for expansion they need to jump on it ASASP. It’s land! If they end up not using it they can resell it or lease it. A no-brainer!
