Disneyland is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller with less space to allow for physical distancing. Also, California has been (appropriately so) more aggressive about reducing the spread of COVID-19. Disney World is several parks spread over acres. I visited DW last year during the Summer and never felt crowded. Whereas, I’ve visited DL midweek, off-season and it was shoulder to shoulder crowds.
I think Disneyland should reopen like every other restaurant and outdoor place. The capacity should change so the workers can control the social distancing. Tickets should be offered online on a first come bases or through job discount prices or events.
Far better for people like you to stay home and not visit the parks, if you feel unsafe. Stop telling everyone else what they are allowed to do. Your comment is doing nothing for the 250,000 that are out of work in the Anaheim area. I’m so glad you are so intently worried about everyone’s life that you will continue to support policies that have very bad consequences, long after the virus is gone. Learn to manage your own risk, instead of trying to remove all risk from life- and stop trying to control my decisions. And before you say, “but your decisions affect my life”- I know, that’s how life works. Everyday we do things that affect others. From the smallest gesture if kindness, to a grand irresponsible action. If you choose to live your life in fear, its not much a life at all.
How about this then: if you are traced, and found out to have given someone Covid, because you choose to “not live in fear”, you must pay that persons family $100,000, and then be sentenced to, either, manslaughter (if the person dies as a result of catching Covid from you) or attempted murder (if they catch it and live). Do we have a deal?

People have started to believe that their safety is the responsibility of others – and not their own. We take educated risks every moment of every day. There is never a perfectly safe state. If you’re feeling unsafe, then protect yourself. Don’t be a dictator and ban people’s livelihoods just to make you feel safer. That’s like banning all cars so you can cross the street safely. Instead, you can take the necessary precautions before you cross and that way we can have both cars, and crosswalking. Just be smart.
Stop with the whole ‘wah wah, living in fear’ bs. Your ignorance is only matched by your arrogance. Please don’t act like you give a single damn about anyone else and their employment or lack thereof. Its great that you’re a blind fool but as you say…why should otgers suffer for it.
It’s a PLANDEMIC that’ll be gone after election day. The democrats are like tyrants trying to take our freedoms & liberties away from us to turn the U.S. socialist. Don’t let them dictate to you.
I agree. If people want to go out and do what ever the hell they want. So be it
And for those of you that want to live under a rock in fear have at it !!! STAY HOME !!! And your right
ALL this will be gone after election!!

Cameron, how can I “give someone Covid” if I am wearing a mask and staying physically distant? Trust the science, right? I don’t agree to your deal, because it is not a crime to walk around outside, nor a crime to breathe, but I will challenge you to be consistent. You pay the rent of 10 people who have no job to go to every month, until you “allow” them to return to work. Also, you agree to give up your salary, if you’re still working, because that seems fair, and since it is all of our responsibility to take care of everyone else, please let me know when you will be opening up any rooms in your home to take in someone who is broke/homeless. If you won’t do that, you agree to be charged with reckless endangerment, oh and child abuse if a child is affected by their parents job loss. I make these statements to show the silliness of your argument. I love silly things, thats why I enjoy theme parks, but charging someone for a crime because of their legal actions goes way beyond silly. BTW, I have a feeling your “Covid fines” costs would be much higher than mine….
My statements are made with no malice or ill intent toward you or anyone else. We probably agree on one thing. This virus sucks, and none of us want ourselves or any family or friends to get it. Our way of reaching that outcome differs, though, and the great thing about our country, is that you have a right to your opinion, the same as I do. That hasn’t changed…..yet.

So, the different approaches are warranted.
It will be mayhem the moment DL reopens.

You are right on the money about everything, far better to be safe than anything else.
