In other news….Disney is bleeding money and attendance as Universal is gladly taking said guests. The company is doing this to themselves, and driving themselves into bankruptcy. F ’em.
Its corporate greed. Keep disneyland closed until January. Cms are not ready yet. These CEOs only think ofthemselves.Disney is non essential. Shame on disneyland. Not n in a hurry to get back to work
I honestly want to know what “guests” they are talking to that are so positive about high temps of 101-106 real feel w humidors, that are happy w masks and being stuck out in sudden downpours and being told they cant get under cover due to social distancing. Yes w infant in arms was told they could not step under cover.
Because honestly we are there suffering w the rest of them and almost every person we walk past is complaining loudly about not even able to catch a moment while Sitting down stationary to catch a breath. Limited places to get water when you need it. Limited opportunities to find food and ordering on line has sometimes taken 45 minutes.
These are heard all over. But Disney wants to paint it perfect. Nope.
Masks are fine. Understand that some ppl need to feel safe. Fine. But dont run up to a stroller and tell a 2 year old put your mask up right, then look at a parent and say it needs to be right or you will need to leave.
Seriously just say hey mom and day can you fix their mask pls.
You get more magic w honey than vinegar. 75% of workers are great. The other 25% are total “witches” minus the W and add a B. Thats reality there.
Maybe if “guests” would follow the rules, they wouldn’t have to be told to wear their masks properly. There are automated messages and signs that state eating and drinking are allowed while stationary and social distanced, yet it’s easy to spot “guests” who are walking around eating or drinking with their masks not on properly. All they need to do is step to the side of path and take that bite or drink, put their mask back on and continue.
Also, I was very annoyed that the couple behind me in line for Everest decided that that was the place to eat their ice cream cones. They had their masks off the whole line as they were walking and ignored a cast member and my partner asking them to put their masks on while in motion. They were far more witchy (as you described / change the w) then any of the cast members.
We saw no issues w masks at all when we have gone ( weekly) and if anything it became a game watching cast members walk in a grid to locate a misstep. One guy sitting alone w his wife, holding a cup, mask off and no one sitting near them, and they got told mask on properly or you need to leave.
He was stationary, actively drinking (swallowing) and got yelled at. Ugh. Its those cast members that ruin it.
I was kind of hoping we are all adults going thru the same thing so lets be careful and follow a rule. But the way they hover waiting for that moment, is definitely overboard.
And to those who deliberately dot follow them… they can leave.
by cdc own defintion they were held by the chinese gov to not tell us the truth till it was too late plus they never said it was never a pandemic if anything they are the ones saying this could kill millions! Get w the program! AND STOP BLAMING DISNEY THEY ARE DOING THERE BEST LIKE WE ALL ARE IN A SITUATION SO EVERYONE CHILL OUT AND GROW A HEART! if you do not like wdw anymore do not go disney will not miss you bc the real fans are still around! You all are the same folks whom complain everywhere its like you can onto a disney site on purpose to complain you can careless and you probably hate disney then leave the magic alone some of us need it after all this death!
So as a new local, I’m not being welcomed because I cannot buy an annual pass. And offering a slightly discounted day pass is not a solution. I live 20 minutes from the parks and haven’t been to one of them since I moved here in June. But I’ve been to Seaworld and universal a few times.
And that is horrible!
Because honestly if they put 1/2 the CMs back to work there would be a ton more magic.
More spots would be open to shop, eat, play. So much is shuttered up that its rather depressing. And the constant recording being played w safety rules is actually getting guests angry as it removes whatever magic is being made.
Maybe once more CMs are back, the ones that are miserable will fade into the background and the magic will be back. There is reason to hope.

By the CDC’s own definition we are not currently in a pandemic. Let that sink in.

Please note that only 20-30% of the Cast Members are back to work. The other 70% are standing in line at the Food Bank.
