November 6th, 2020 sees a lot of merriment arriving at Walt Disney World Resort. The holidays will be here before we know it, and you can bet your yellow shoes that Disney will be decking the halls in the merriest of ways. The Disney Parks Blog shared the news today that the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail will be slightly reimagined so more guests can enjoy the sights in a safe manner.
The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail for 2020
2015 saw the debut of the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs. Originally featuring a handful of trees, the trail has grown over the years to more than 22 trees with magical movie theming and the tiniest of hidden Disney details. More than one million guests have already traipsed the trail! This year for 2020, Disney Springs Guests will walk around Disney Springs to discover Christmas decor around every corner. They will happen upon a collection of elaborately-decorated and spread out Disney Christmas trees spread throughout the retail, dining, and entertainment district.
It appears from this Disney Parks Blog message that the original densely packed Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs will instead be spread out among the “lands” of Disney Springs instead of being laced together on one end of the district. This certainly will be more distant, but problematic if you are looking for a certain tree. Let’s hope they include a little map this year at our favorite shopping arena.
Later each evening, as dining winds down, Guest visiting the aptly named Town Center area, the West Side, and the Landing areas will “encounter a magical snowfall, adding an extra touch of wonder to their holiday shopping.” Let’s hope it brings the magic of Main Street U.S.A. and Sunset Boulevard to Disney Springs. We’re excited to see the merriment!
If this snowy wonderland wasn’t enough holiday magic for you at Disney Springs, consider visiting Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. This air stunt-themed watering hole will once again be turning into “Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar ” complete with “delightful holiday décor and a delicious limited-time menu filled with festive favorites.” Now, if only Reggie would wear this tiny Santa hat we bought him!!
Below, you can see a little treat from Mickey and Minnie as they share the merriment of Magic Kingdom and the new projection looks for Cinderella Castle.
