It’s in Disney’s best interest to allow more families to be exposed to their content especially if it involves a viewers choice to refrain from hearing and seeing things they deem inappropriate for their family. Thankful for VidAngel creating a platform for families to truly be able to view family friendly films! Now you kids go play nice together.

Parents have a choice as to what their children watch. Many films are not made for children so they shouldn’t be able to watch them until they are at an appropriate age.

The films are made for a specific audience and VidAngel should have no part in changing them so parents can feel better about showing the films to their children. Also, they did all this without the filmmakers’ permission and then tried to profit from their stealing.

Nope. When you stream from Vidangel you still have to pay for the movie rental or streaming service just like you normally would. Disney is not a sweet pro-family company. And the idea that sexual themes, violence, and vulgarity are ok if you’re a certain age is repugnant to me. I was trying to filter all that out for myself, but Disney doesn’t like that. They’re the worst.

        Agreed!

I completely agree with you. I am 59 and do not want to hear profanity.

Disney has become horrible. Walt Disney would never have allowed then to do half the garbage they do.

The lines have been blurred over the past 3 decades. Movie ratings and TV ratings don’t align. How can anyone say they are made for a specific audience? We should have the right to filter content without relying on someone else’s judgement. VidAngel is doing what many families demand. They want to stream content without being surprised by profanity or unnecessary sex scenes (which by the way don’t progress the story line). Opinions/preferences are better left as user settings. Leave it at that.

Shows the savvy and determination of VidAngel, that they didn’t fold, instead they morphed into DryBar Comedy. In entrepreneurial circles, they will be seen as geniuses now, not a cautionary tale.

Well done staying flexible and moving forward!

We have Vidangel and love it! We can watch shows like the Office in front of our kids aged 6 to 16. When Disney fought Vidangel, we were watching Friends as a family. Disney only hurt themselves as we won’t watch it without the filters. We pay for Netflix and Prime just so we can watch filtered content through Vidangel. If companies like WB and Disney won’t allow Vidangel to filter them, we just don’t watch them and so they lose money and ratings.

  5. Disney never should have brought this lawsuit in the first place. VidAngel repeatedly tried to work out an arrangement with Disney to pay Disney reasonable royalties for Disney movies that VidAngel customers watched, just as VidAngel has done with Amazon and Netflix. But Disney said no, and then sued.

My family has Vidangel and we love it. There are tons of Disney movies that have content in them that I feel are not appropriate for my children. Disney should work something out with VidAngel to allow customers to pay an extra fee to VidAngel to allow customers to filter out the Disney movies. I have Disney app too and Disney does not offer any filters on there Disney app. There are so many movies I would not be able to watch if it were not for VidAngel. Thank you VidAngel.

I side with Vid Angel. And am glad that Disney loosened its grip. They’re all in it for the right reasons. Even as an adult I’m sick of seeing all the violence on tv. I hope Vid Angel sets the example for others to follow!

I think Disney stinks, and that Walt Disney would be ashamed of what his legacy has become.

    1. Russ

      I agree with you 100%

If disney is listening, please allow vidangel to do their thing with your content. It’s not just for our kids, it’s for the adults too. We don’t want to hear/see that in our house. Please reconsider
