The Walt Disney World Resort is home to two Rainforest Cafe locations. One can be found at Disney Springs and the other is just outside the gate of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests can dine at both locations without theme park admission — and as of today, both have reopened.
Landry’s Restaurant Group, which also owns the T-Rex Cafe at Disney Springs and Yak & Yeti at Animal Kingdom, temporarily closed all of their locations nationwide due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the same day that Disney World theme parks officially began their phased reopening, we can confirm that both Disney World Rainforest Cafe restaurants have reopened for business!
The Rainforest Cafe staff member we spoke to at Disney Springs confirmed that both Walt Disney World Resort Rainforest Cafe dining establishments are currently open for business 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Rainforest Cafe website encourages reservations for dine-in service and features the following health and safety alert.
The notice about dining at the tropical themed Landry’s restaurant chain reads:
AS WE REOPEN OUR DINING ROOMS, WE WILL CONTINUE TO PRACTICE AND TAKE PART IN PREVENTATIVE MEASURES TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SERVING YOU ONCE AGAIN.
Disney Springs and Disney World are abiding by numerous health and safety measures set forth by the Walt Disney Company. These measures include mandatory face masks in most areas and contactless food payment whenever possible. Rainforest Cafe, like all third-party restaurants on Disney property, is required to adhere to these regulations.
