I never got to see the new “nighttime” makeover of Animal Kingdom, but it had to have been better than the nighttime Extra Magic Hours during winter short-days nights when it gets dark at 5pm.
AK is not well-lit, has winding rocky paths, is difficult to navigate even in the daytime, and frequently has wet sidewalks from all the watered plants. Dinoland USA was more fun at night, though.
And whether Stitch was the second “worst” attraction at the parks depends a lot on how sentimental you were for Alien Encounter.
I didn’t hate it, but I side with the fans that wanted “good” Stitch, and I remember the long, LONG story of how we got the attraction in the first place.
Those campaigning for Splash Mountain changes would do well to hear it.
This article just doesn’t make a lot of sense. For instance, it states that ROL made its debut in 05/2019. Uhm, NO. No it did not. When you click the link where it says that, it then states that it was debuting an UPDATE in 05/2019…Can we please get DW reports from a DW educated reporter? Perhaps one that is NOT smoking dope?
Glad to see them all go, I wasn’t a fan.
I l liked Alien Encounter but it was too scary for the young-uns. Great space for the Imagineers to develop. Maybe Fligh of the Navigator?
Also Primeval Whirl – that whole space looks like a cheap amusement park complete with hecklers – I could do without that. How about a Jungle Book theme instead?
And ROL, it was beautiful but I hated the music, i couldn’t understand any of the words. Where’s the Disney soundtracks we all love?
Rivers of light has one of best soundtracks i am so sorry you do not get real music! Buy the cd you will see that! AEC and stitch are the same attraction they just put stitch in and it was insulting to intelligence!
Yep thats what you get for changing such a brilliant artistic show! Again just bc 10 people didnt get didnt mean hundreds of others were not fans!! RIP Rivers you will go down as a great just like Horizons and the rest like AEC stitch deserves to burn for taking you away good riddens!! Just keep ruining things disney you will loose your true guests and fans that way!!!
Hopefully River of Lights will return as soon as guests are able to sit shoulder to shoulder. Great show! Stitch? Bye, bye! It puzzles me why Primevil Whirl is always closed. The separated cars compliments social distancing.
Closing the Stitch attraction is long overdue. Last time I went through it was 2015. It was lame. And the over the shoulder restraint didn’t work correctly. During one part of the show it lowered too much and hurt my shoulders. Anyway, I’m Usually sad when Disney closes an attraction, but not this time.
I’m not a fan of all three attractions. Primeval Whirl and surroundings reminds me of a rundown neighborhood popup festival complete with hecklers. Why not use that space for a classic like The Jungle Book or another animal movie favorite?
I liked Stitch’s Great Escape but it was really scary for the little ones and Lilo & Stitch is a little one’s cartoon. Why not just remake it with a happy story or use another Tomorrow Land like theme such as The Flight of the Navigator, it’s out of this world.
Rivers of Light was beautiful but very confusing. The music was bizarre, where’s the wonderful Disney soundtrack? I couldn’t follow the storyline if there was one.
Come on Imagineers we know you can do better.

Wrong SG. Lilo & Stitch is not mainly a little one’s cartoon, it’s a family’s cartoon, it’s for everyone. Don’t be ridiculous.
